Hell yes. The idea of the universe continuing on forever without me is horrifying. I honestly wish I was able to be religious, that I could delude myself enough to fully believe in some sort of eternal afterlife so at least I would have some small comfort.
The only reason I work out and eat healthily is for the small chance that I will survive long enough for immortality to be achieved either through gene upgrades or mechanical means.
and you think they'll give it to you. (or any other not filthy rich)

Yes, because it's death.

Anyone who can view it as "you're born, you die" is cold indeed.

I'm also scared of the fact that there's nothing, although I accept it. Those who can't accept it are, well, religious mostly.

No, not really, I don't fear my own death.

I do fear the death of those I love.
This is my answer also.
Mainly because once I die then it's done. The only thing I do fear/worry about is the effect my death would have on the people who care about me.

I also don't fear pain for some reason, or hell, even mind it unless I'm like on fire or something. It really is all kinds of weird and no I'm not lying for internet man points.

Yeah. I don't want to die. To paraphrase Carlin, the whole meaning of life is "not dying"!

I lost the will to live a long time ago, so no death doesn't scare me. Although I don't take pain very well so I hope essentially that I die soon and painless XD.

The death of people I love scares me, but not my own.

I just feel it's something that has to happen to me eventually - the way it happens doesn't bother me much.

Well that is the one advantage of immortality. They can charge you a shitload and you can take out a major loan and spend the next 1,000 years paying it off.
yeah but youre missing something here.

EVERYONE would do it.and everyone would also wanna have kids to fill their very very boring long life.

scenario does not end well.

The thought of "nothingness" scares me, yes. Thought I know I can't be terrified by it, since "I" won't be anymore. The process of dying might be even scarier.

I wish i could fool myself into religion and believe in the Afterlife. I can't =(
So, ignorance is a bliss! Those who are afraid of dying should hope they die without them noticing it. Like being shot from behind in the head, or maybe a nuclear blast (you vaporize in less then a second after impact, you wouldn't know what happend).

Since I do not believe in an afterlife, I do not fear death. I do not fear dying either, as long as it's not horribly drawn out and painful (yes "random person who saw this post and decided to write something witty" I realize that life is drawn out and often painful)
in fact, at some points I actually feel that I would be quite happy to die (not to the point of having suicide thoughts ofc) just to see what happens next.

Yeah. All the people who say 'no' are fucking liars. I'd sure as hell miss this world, and my friends, etc.* Everyone who sais they won't are either heartless or lying.

*Unless one chooses to believe Dante Alighieri, in which case I'll see most of my friends in the sixth circle of hell; the burning city of Dis, where all the heretics go. Oh happy days.

death is an inherently fear provoking issue. That is why they have developed entire philosophies and therapies to deal with the problems people have with facing it. Whether we realize it or not everyday is a struggle to face the reality that we will someday find ourselves no longer in physical existence. If you are like me you have taken on things such as a belief in the after life to help control this anxiety. Whether you personally adhere to a religious/spiritual understanding of life you probably have some understanding of a life after the current one. While I don't entirely agree with all of the tenets of existentialism (particularly in the area that believes we are all alone in our journey through life) I think it offers us an interesting perspective on one possible way to interpret our existence. If we do not have insight into our own thoughts and feelings we are slaves to our minds.
