It's not really the same.Vincent33 said:There's no need for porting, you have things called emulators. Hell, i can emulate FF1 on my 5-6 years old phone.
I think once you hit a point emulators become the best way to play a game, any controller can be used, AF and AA/resolution can be applied as well as new texture packs.Noceus said:It's not really the same.Vincent33 said:There's no need for porting, you have things called emulators. ... how? The only difference is not having to scroll.Nimbus said:Sure, if they did it right. A menu system like those could really benefit from a mouse input.
Generally, how good a UI is, is defined by how few buttons you have to push to complete a given task.ProfessorLayton said:... how? The only difference is not having to scroll.Nimbus said:Sure, if they did it right. A menu system like those could really benefit from a mouse input.
Ok, maybe it is just me, but Final Fantasy games just seem wrong with a keyboard and mouse. I fail to see how it is an "advantage". Even when I had FF7 on PC I still played it with a 360 controller.Noceus said:and controls.
I thought FF7 on the PC was quite good but I never finished due to having advanced graphics on one computer and not having Media player on another.WittyInfidel said:Emulators have run the FF series on the computers for years.
on another note, they did release FF7 for the pc. It just performed horribly. I think that's the last attempt they made at that.
OT: I had both FF7 and Resident Evil 2 on the PC, hated them both. They were much better for console.
