Uh guys there is a much better way to get round this and your parents only have to do something once
buy it on-line or pre order it on-line to get delivered to your house, that way any time you want a new game you just give your parents the money(if your not using your own pay pal account or bank account) and they only have to fill out the thing once, meaning the better things they have to do they can go do them while you have your game on the way, if your pre order it chances are it will come on the release date which is perhaps faster than you would get it if you went to the store.

Sorry if being grown-up is like the way people are, because most of the time I read news about someone killing someone because of a video game or has something to do with it, it's usually a grown-up. Even the man in Thailand, who killed the taxi-driver was 19. And still people fuckin' whine that children have fucked-up minds and do not make the difference between a game and real life. Pfft.

although I've seen an 8 year old boy playing GTA:san Andreas and it is a rather disturbing sight
oh, and sex is considered more important than violence because we live in a society who's moral code originally came from a certain religion... yes... you know which one...
What...Hinduisism?

im 13 and i play all games, so its stupid to restrict games. Why should we, normal gamers have to suffer becouse of idiots that kill them selves becouse of games?

yes you should suffer from this, and once you can't play all games, use the free time for some additional spelling lessons

besides, idiots who kill themselves because of games aren't the problem. Idiots who kill others 'because of games' on the other hand...

I dunno, because games like GTA, (which is an 18) I have no problem with, but I would feel uncomfortable letting someone under 18 play Manhunt (also an 18). I think there are some games that should be restricted but a lot of the ones that are now shouldn't.

...I have a friend who's little brother played manhunt 2. He was nine at the time. I've never been so pissed off at a friend before. I've also never cared about what age group plays what as long as they don't act like ass clowns. But...nine?...manhunt 2? Hell no. That's like having them watch Saw IV and tell them "this is what you should grow up to be...jigsaw".

I am a 16 year old gamer, and one of my largest pet peeves is that I need to be 18 to buy M rated games. In my opinion (otherwise known as ?fact?) this is unnecessary. It is a parents responsibility to monitor there child?s gaming, not Best Buy?s responsibility. My parents set a clear line for what I can buy in gaming and what I can?t. If I cross it, my parents will just throw away my new game, and I have to eat the bill. That is what responsible parents do. I feel that it is not in the place of stores to place this limit for me. It does get annoying that when I want a new game I can not just drive there myself, yet I need to get my mother to accompany me. She has better things to do.
I agree parents need to start paying attention to their own kids and not make governments (I mean FEDERAL FREAKIN GOVERNMENTS) get involved in what should honestly be a small issue.

Lol I'm underage (for now) but the Best Buy that I use to buy my games doesn't check for my I.D! I go there whenever I want a rated M game.

This requires more than just yes or no for the poll answers. So your parents are ok with you playing M rated games? Get them to go with you and have them purchase it with your money.

I think the system works to a certain degree. I turned 18 last year so I now have the luxury of buying whatever I want, but my mom would buy any 18 games for me provided that it wasnt anything too twisted.

If parents took the time to learn about these games, they can choose which ones there kids can be allowed to play.

I mean I would never let a kid play Manhunt but I think that anyone over 16 can play GTA and not see anything in there that is too disturbing. Its all about the parents view of right and wrong.

It doesnt matter to me, my kids gonna be playing Mario until hes 20, then he can have something more violent, like Zelda.

EDIT: I dont have a child and hopefully wont for a few years, in case I mislead anyone with that last sentence.

I'd agree with you, but the adult world does not. According to the news, parents are not good enough keepers of their own children that they need everything else to help them out with it. Just wait 2 years, it's not gonna kill you.

Suing is a epidemic in this country. Judges need to grow some balls and start telling stupid that if they spill coffee it is there own fault.
Actually, the coffee served at that McDonald's was at an unsafe temperature, employees of the McDonald's had been burned by the hot coffee before, and they had been informed not to keep serving it at that temperature. Stella received burns from spilling it, which was her fault, but the fact of the matter is, the coffee was served at an unsafe temperature, it was far too hot, and as I said, the employees had been burned by it before. Stella required medical treatment and they sought compensation from the McDonald's, they received none and took the establishment to court.

Ok then, rant over, I agree that stupid lawsuits plague the U.S. court system but Stella does not deserve the position of "whipping boy" for the problem
