It's almost here, and I seem to be, as far as I can see, one of only a handful of people around who are still fervently excited about Diablo 3 being around the corner, my good old friend and I burnt away years of our childhood mashing Diablo 2:Lord of Destruction till our eyes and clicky fingers just couldn't take it anymore, I asked him his opinion the other day and he said: "Meh, it doesn't look so good." I'm concerned, to say the very least, as Blizzard and its games have and as I thought always would shape my entire oulook on gaming, is it just me?

After how Blizzard ruined both Starcraft and Warcraft................ no I am not.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the last part of the game Diablo turns good, considering how they pulled the stupid all "evil gets redeemed" BS with Arthas and Kerrigan.

Na the end of SC2 pretty much made her good.

She is apparently more Zergish in Part 2 but she is still allies with Raynor, and is gonna help him take down Minkst or w/e that Human dudes name is.

Hell yes I'm still hyped about D3. I think some people might have burnt themselves out too much following the beta. I haven't played a good dungeon crawler in absolutely ages, so I can't wait to have something new to occupy that slot in my game time.

I was precariously balanced on the fence before. Not excited, but considering buying it for the hell of it.

Then the Ubisoft-style always-online DRM came along and knocked me clean off said fence.

Haha yeah, I tried to fill my RPG gap with Dubgeon Siege 3 cause you know... 2 was amazing... But 3... Oh GOD number 3... Crafted from the souls of dead babies.

OT: Nope I am not waiting or getting diablo3, looks a bit too dumbed down, you cant have 2 barabrians with very different play styles it seems (I may be wrong ) and especially with the "always online" stuff.
Even if i wanted i wouldn't enjoy the game since my ISP hates me

It's like I thought, I've been talking to a lot of people and the sides seem to almost be split right down the middle, most complaints are about the internet issue though...

Well dungeon crawlers are way past their prime and Diablo 3 seems to be the most cumbersome of them all... it's really not stacking up to something great.

Also I don't think they could do a worse job with the lore then in WoW. I mean it's blizzard so I am likely going to be wrong, but hay I can hope.

I am looking forward to playing it. But the game lacks a lot of the things I liked about D1 and D2... they have made it a little bit to much like WoW...

Yes.
The massive hype died a long time ago, and every update has been a downer since 2009ish, but I still look forward to playing it a lot. I'm fairly sure D3 will be my death.
