Poll: DPS, Tank or Healer?

When I choose my class I don't do it on what part I would be playing in raids so i usually just go for Rouge which makes me a DPS melee I guess

Healer through and through. I love the feel of it. The whole group depends on you, their lives are in your hands and you must take care of their fragile bodies ( yes, from the healer's point of view even the tank is a glass which you must carefully mend, or it will brake to pieces ). Not to mention you are always needed, I have rarely seen anyone say "no" to a healer.
i have tried tanks, melee DPS and ranged DPS and nothing, absolutely nothing gives me as much satisfaction as being a healer. God, I love healing.

Usually i roll in between dps and healers. In FFXI used to have a blackmage and whitemage, and a thf/nin. In lotro i have Champion, Hunter, Minstrel, Burg and a RK

I have a mage on WoW and so naturally I'm a DPS

Really, on mine I refuse to DPS, and only tank/heal or on occasion melee DPS...

On topic though, if my connection was better I would quite like to tank or heal, but its not great so I prefer DPS, as if I DC I don't screw up the fight.

When I played WoW, the 50-70 range with my shaman was all resto, then I hit 70 and went on and off between melee and spell DPS. Stopped playing a few months into WotLK, though...

FFXI... 10 chracters level 75 so pretty much all classes.
WoW.... ranged dps
LoTRO... all classes but tanking

I adore my Warlock on WoW. They get so many DOT's, that their DPS is insane. (Well, it used to be.) Now though, I've been getting into Melee DPS with my DK. And yes, I know their OP, but do I care? No.

I'm usually the Tank, But I'm good as a Priest or Palladin (Healer).

My favorite class is called healer. I don't DPS, but I have one other vital function. I can do crowd control.

im a dps on wow, a mix of dps and tank in eve and used to tank in gw(dont play it any more)all warriors (battle ship in eve)

What about a nuker? I wouldn't consider nuker's DPS casters.

I'm usually support, even when I play a character whose sole purpose is something other than support. Just makes the support role that much better for me. DotA, btw...

Tank usually. I DID like the Witch Hunter in WAR though, mostly because shooting people in the face never got old.

Since I've at least given all the archetypes a shot in any MMO I've ever played, my preference goes something like this:

Tank
Ranged DPS
Healer
Melee DPS

I usually end up swapping rapidly back and forth between tank and healer since the two are so dependent upon one another. If I get frustrated with healers, I myself become a healer and desperately try to not be a moron (It's a coin toss in WaR since a single misstep due to lag usually vaults you into the swarm of enemies)
