I really wanted to choke the shit out of
my brother and his helpers (seriously, if there wasn't a preset course of dialogue I'd slaughtered everyone down there or died trying)
in the dwarf noble intro, so I'd say it was at least the one where I bonded with my character the most.

Out of the ones I have played, the Human noble origins is by far the best as it completely links to the main plot of the game. It felt so good to get revenge for that.

Hell, it also links into Awakenings.

The mage origins with Jowan was pretty dull.

I prefered the dwarf noble origin the most, but overall I preffered the playthrough with a human noble...

I am a queen :)

I can't decide between Dwarf Noble and Human Noble. Dwarf Noble was my first playthrough and I really liked running into Gorim in Denerim (even though I didn't make much use of his shop). Human Noble, on the other hand, gets used a lot in the main quest and has a fair bit of extra stuff in it (seriously, it feels like the canonical playthrough is a female Human Noble rogue).

What is your fav Intro?
i liked the dwarven noble and dalish city elf (as a female character) origins the best.

my main however was a human noble (why no human non-noble beginning?) and i have to admit i found it to be the worst of the beginnings. it was overly dramatic, too cliche and just felt generic - although it made the confrontation with arl howe near the end much more gratifying.

The most dramatic, by far, was the City Elf origin, especially with a female character. It's a story that really gets you and tells you a lot about the world you are in. But I also like the Human Noble one, mostly because of its tongue-in-cheek-ness with which it treated a lot of the classical RPG clichés in the beginning.

I always preferred the City elf intro. And the female City elf is just a bit more...visceral than the male elf.

They kidnap you so they can rape you, and you end up slaughtering the entire compound while in a wedding dress. You can't get much freakier than that with these intros.
This is exactly my thought, the female city elf just has the most visceral, and satisfying opening story.

I thought they were all great, but the Dwarf Noble intro was by far the strongest. It was also the only one that still left me feeling angry at the betrayal long after the main game had started.

Dwarf Noble was the shit.

Politics, assassinations, and comes with huge bonuses at a certain shop in Denerim!
I agree wholeheartedly. The Dwarf Noble Intro was fantastic. I was ready to kick (Spoiler) my bro's ass when I got back to Orzammar.

What is your fav Intro? What did you like about it?

Mine is the Royal Dwarf it was alot of fun it also made me feel really important. When my brother betrayed me by frameing me i wanted to kill him because i felt a connection to my person.

Well thank you for comeing back to repost and submit your vote
Agree with you. I've played all intros and the ones that resonated the most with me was royal dwarves.

My main character is a dwarven princess and the betrayal you speak of also hit me very hard. In addition I absolutely loved DA:O's version of dwarven culture and found it very satisfying to play. The politics were very exciting and did not strike me as typically dwarven. Plus, my princess was a hot redhead.

I also enjoyed being named a Paragon and all that entailed. All in all the dwarves kicked ass. I'm totally going to roll a dwarf for DA2.

Oh yeah. The romantic banter with the one friend you have starting out as a dwarven princess is priceless.

I would say either the dwarf noble or the elf commoner. Both of those really had a good set up to the life that my character lived. I really felt like an opressed city dweller in the elven one, and the dwarf noble had a much more regal feel than the human noble. Im going to have to go with the elf, because I cant choose and when playing the game I preferred him to my dwarf.

well human noble for me, i fucking LOVED
being able to get back at howe for doing that to my family, getting to rage the shit out of him was satisfying as fuck

and while i think dwarves are cool and all...i dont like playing as one. i have no idea what it is but i just dont like playing as one. so those are probably my least favorite.. the elf ones were pretty good.

I liked the commoner one because it also made me think what king to choose when I got back to the Dwarf city.

..I must now experiment this. Kill Bill, mad-as-hell elf style!

Edit: I somewhat like the Human Noble as well. Fuck, Arl Howe really gets under my skin as an Antagonist. I loved beating his ugly face into the floor in Denerim.. /sigh

Both dwarf ones were my favourites when it comes to setting. I just liked to see dwarves finally done as something more than just jolly midgets drinking beer all day. Politics, betrayal, caste conflicts, even bit of romance, going way ahead of the rest of fantasy settings that involve dwarves.
