It was judgment day when that noble kidnapped my bride-to-be. Aside from the City Elf, I'd say the Human Noble. It certainly spices up the last part of the game.
Personally, the only Origin I haven't played through an entire game with is City Elf, my favorite is Dwarf Noble. There is nothing more satisfying than coming back to Orzammar, pretending to help Bhelen, and then giving the crown to Harrowmont instead and then killing Bhelen.
I think its a pretty great intro to the world as your character knows about as much concerning the wide world and Fereldan internal politics as the player does. So when you get the dialog for certain things amounts to "And why should I give a crap about this? I have a world to save!", you can actually mean it.
Though with your extra bit of taint is does give the game a sort of fatalist feel to it. You're going to die pretty soon regardless, might as well go out like a hero. Made all the more bitter since my character (and myself) started off as disliking humans but through Alistair was slowly won over and in the end after an adorable romance had to watch him kill himself to save me and his home :-/
Then continue on in the expansion without him and deal with that Two-Timing ***** Anora as queen.
Dragon Age may not have been a happy game for me, but damn if it wasn't immersive.
