Where's the option for... Fuck all of these publishers and their shitty AAA games
This, just this :3

I take quality over quantity, so I'd rather replay through a good game for several years rather than play hastily shit out sequels every year that I will get bored with. Not to mention the online passes and other DRM shit like constantly updating that annoy me.

The spinoffs were just as great though. Zork Nemesis was awesome
I only tried Return to Zork myself. I couldn't quite shake the feeling that it wasn't a real Zork game. If it had a different name I would probably have loved it, that is sometimes the curse of expectations. :)

More to the point, I agree that Activision made some great things in the 1990s and early 2000s. They used to be one of my favorite developers/publishers. The name used to be a mark of quality and polish. Not so much now.

EA. They seriously aren't as evil as people say. Their customer service is really bad at times, but they do deliver quality products. Yeah for them it is just about the money, but they wouldn't burn down orphanages to get it. Activision on the other hand...

Ubisoft is only really a bit stupid at handling the PC community. And even then the Rayman Origins PC port shows me that theyre learning that less restrictive DRM might work.

And unlike the other two, theres very little wrong with thier console titles.

I don't know exactly. I still voted Ubisoft only because they seem to have the greatest amount of decent games...only they put them in cages of DRM, but still.

Activision was decent a while ago, but lately no games of their hold my interest. Also, Bobby Kotick is a dick. And I feel they milk their fanbase a lot.

EA...they used to be great. Used to be. Now not so much.

So basically, Activision and EA I feel are slightly more horrible than Ubisoft. Well, at least I have fun with Ubi games...when they work.

I don't have much of a thing against Ubisoft because I play most of their games on console, thereby avoiding the DRM for Hades. Though I do resent them for trying to turn Assassin's Creed into an annual money-grabber.
EA are just being true dicks. I truly cannot see how they can mess around with their customers so much without actually having a dicking about department. Can't really boycott them though because they seem to publish half the games out there.
Now, I don't play many Activision games. I never got into CoD, only having bought World at War for the zombie bit. I never got into WoW either, my soul having already been taken by Runescape (I've got it back now).

So, it's a mash-up between Ubisoft and Activision. I'm going with Activison.
Why, I hear you ask. Well, though I haven't had much of a quarrel with even with them, Ubioft hasen't done anything nice for me, while Activision has. And what has Activision done for me?
Simple. By typing in the barcode from my age-old copy of Warcraft 3 and it's expansion pack, it let me redownload them. Those games are a part of my middling-childhood. Very few companies let me do that, and I applaud Activision for it.

I could not vote. I enjoy the titles of all of these companies and have no reason to hate them.

For me its EA>Activision>Ubisoft.

Ubisoft is unforgivable of the precedents they have set and continue to hold up and perpetuate. They deserve not a single dime of any gamers money because what they have done is hurting every single gamer.

Activision is a company that does not really effect me personally so I dont see their downsides being as detrimental as others might. They have done a lot of damage with this whole massive acquisition and dissolution of studios practice, but for me the really dont make games I play. Most of their problems have more to do with public relations than actual problems with development.

EA is by far the least to worry about. While they do both the major negative things that Ubi or Activision does, they do them to a lesser extent, plus they still make some games I might actually play, so it might simply be I am more forgiving because they make some of what I play.

Honestly what we need is a new gaming market crash, so that it takes these giants and forces them to crumble under their own weight to the point that they are rehumbled and can get back to servicing the players instead of looking at people as piggybanks to crack open.

i dunno tbh, I hate EA (i think everyone knows that by now) so between Ubisoft and Activision, well Ubisoft treats its fan base like shit but makes good games, Activision makes shit games and isnt that bad to its fans (atleast that ive seen)
Acti used to be that bad. Till Kotwick shut the fuck up about his buisness practices.

I honestly don't know. They're bad enough that I'm boycotting the lot of them - can't see that changing any time soon.

Ubisoft. Ubisoft have still to reach the wallet rape level that EA or Activision have achieved. Although their crappy DRM definitely gets them a handful of Uprick points though.

Ubisoft is the least worst. If you are a PC user, Ubisoft may be worst, but I think EA wants to win that title back with the strong armed tactics of forced Origin usage.

Tie in perks, bonus, cheaper DLC, thru the usage of Origin, but at least allow people who don't want at all, to be able not to use it.

Ubisoft, on every other platform is at least good and games aren't ripped apart for DLC "repackaging", tho AC2 did have a misstep with sequence 12 & 13. Or was 12 free for new buyers with 13 being DLC only... Either way, it wasn't all that much of a core lore of play -- just a minor extra "oh, this is something else extra he did between X and Y years."

I really don't think Activision is all that bad, sure Kotick has a run of his mouth, and believes profit comes first and yes Call of Duty is overdone with the whole yearly release, but when you look at what they've done, and then look at what EA has done, I'd Say Activision is the lesser of two evils, and i'd rather pay them money then EA.

All three of them are contributing towards some serious problem in the industry; to discount one is to vindicate the others.

-Ubisoft contributes towards franchise-market trolling and DRM
-EA contributes towards abuse of developer-ownership; putting legitimate talent out of business with their corporate meddling and agenda of eliminating competition.
-Acti-Blizzard contributes towards market stagnation and senseless milking of franchises; preventing investors from even considering anything that isn't a Sequel/Prequel, tie-in or new IPs unless they are quite obviously knock-offs of other successful franchises.

And I must note that all three of them have contributed towards each others' main problems in some manner or another. Blizzard, Ubisoft and EA all have some form of arm-bar DRM in place, they all make knock-offs and endless sequels that do nothing but run in place, and they've all ruined or exploited talented developers.
