If it's in the night, scream like a little girl and get mad at monopoly by candlelight.

It seems to never happen during the day time here...
I guess I'm finally into some books now so that.

Ok so say your power has gone out during the middle of the day, it's warm and sunny outside. The power on your handhelds/laptops have ran out as well so no taking the easy way out.

What do you do if you haven't got access to your electronic devices?

I would read a book in my room, screw going outside!
Why would I be inside on a bright sunny day if I wasn't working?
I would already be outside and doing something.

If it's nice probably kick back on the porch and read a book. If the roomates are around might play a boardgame.

Go running, seiza position and meditate when I return, run again. Rinse and repeat until power returns.

If it's sunny though, I might replace running with push/situps. /Dislike sun.

This happened to me yesterday. I just went outside in the beautiful sunshine and read a book for a few hours. I try to go outside atleast a few times a week for a long walk or reading a book in the park by the stream.

I like the outdoors, I just don't like the people.

Read something on my Kindle. If the battery dies, I guess I would opt for the hanging. It was a close second anyway.

First thought when I saw the thread was "How can you type here if you have a power cut?!"
Find some friends, hang out with them, do sports, read, something like that.

It all depends on the situation. Last time there was a power cut there was a circuit failure when I was vacuuming (I live in a place where I can't fix that myself) so I washed the floor and called for someone to fix it.

If it's nice outside I will most likely take a walk. If it's October or later and it's after 6PM I will just go to sleep. There's no light to be had so I can't read and the weather wont be nice.

Yeah, I'm off the grid, with 100 percent of my power coming from solar energy, so I can weather power outages just fine. I won't have Internet, but I'll still have my other electronic distractions.

But since I'm asked to play along, I'll do that and say catch up on my sleep.

There's a power cut and it's nice out? Time to call up the friends, make a mass trip to the supermarket to stock up on unhealthy things and Mountain Dew, and then back to one of our respective homes to play D&D until the power comes back on or until tomorrow rolls around.

What do you mean power is out on handhelds? Even if my laptop, Ds, mom's DS, and GBA SP all died the GBA and original Gameboy run off batteries. I even have a light for them so I can play in the dark. Or if you don't allow that I'd go over a friends and steal their power.
