I really think New Vegas was superior to Fallout 3 in every way, so I think Bethesda should just stick with The Elder Scrolls.

Elder Scrolls 5, I want to play a good old Medevil adventure, with magic and swords, and the lockpicking that I so enjoy

Fallout is fun, too much isn't

Oblivion came out in 2006, and there's been two Fallout games since. Time for more Elder Scrolls, is what I say!

Depends on what they'd do with the games.

I've just bought Fallout 3 and a half (New Vegas), so if they continue doing this I don't want to know.

how about a double pack of fallout and TES V in one package in the same world and you can leave 5 possesions from TES V and import your save so that your fall out charecter can use them.

I think Bethesda would do better sticking to the Elder Scrolls series - let Obsidian revive the Fallout series and focus on their own IP.
Obsidian should keep their buggy hands off of Fallout, I love New Vegas to death but the constant crashes are rage inducing.
Same here. It's a fun game, when it's working: hardly ever.

I would like to see a new TES with a vats type system: as the archery and ranged spells in that game were almost completely worthless.
They could call it FATS: Fairy Assisted Targeting System.

At either rate. If they're going to keep making console games, they need to make a new engine. The last two Fallout games are fun but technically complete messes.

When that's done I'd like to see Bethesda do another TES game.

I'm hoping for a new TES game ... need a good hacky slashy ...

Obviously more in the vein of Morrowind, not Oblivion (albeit Shivering Isles was fun ^_^). No Fast Travel <.< IF you're in the wilderness you're STUCK THERE.

That and I want to see vampiric Snake people eating monkey men ... stop fucking teasing us already and create an Akavir - Based TES.

With ships and islands instead of just one big continental landmass. A game in which you get to command a ship would be nice <.< but that's possibly asking too much ... but an Akavir-based TES would be *awesome*.

Lets escape the 'usual' races and embrace the exotic in TES 5 ... give the option to play one of the original races, but don't have them as the focus for the majority of contacts.
This guy knows whats up. Morrowind was the first game i really got into, and Oblivion was the first game I pre-ordered. I loved both, but Morrowind always felt more immersive and, frankly, more awesome. Fallout 3 was great too, but something about Morrowind's mix of bizzare, otherworldly feel and the truly epic storyline made me nut. If a new ES is coming out and it is in the same vein I will love Bethesda forevever

Considering Fallout 3 was released 2 years ago, New Vegas (published by Bethesda) came out this year, Fallout 4 is supposed to come out in 2012, and TES IV: Oblivion came out 4 years ago... I would say a new TES.

My powers of predicition forsee Elder Scrolls, in a snowy place. Other than that setting, they really should go with Elder Scrolls. After a short while, there really isn't anything new with Fallout game mechanics. Shooting things with your best gun/ gun with the most readily available ammunition tends to be all that happens.

What do you think should be next in line for Bethesda ?
TESV: Skyrim
Should they integrate V.A.T.S and the EXP level up system into elder scrolls ?
I will cry bitter tears if they do either.

I want a much expanded Morrowind/Oblivion style game. More Skills, especially those found in past TES games, perhaps a new attribute or two, and more equipment and equipment slots (can I please pick my left and right pauldrons separately again). With Morrowind, they started with a seemingly very bleak and boring world; just a volcano surrounded by fields of ash. I believe this is why they tried so hard to make Vvardenfell so interesting. I can't wait to see what a similar effort could make of a place like Skyrim.

I totally agree. Morrowind's story was alot better than oblivion. And it all felt so alien.

As yahtzee put it: "oblivion is only copy pasted medieval british country side with a few wolves" =)

Should: a new Fallout.

Will: TES V.
I disagree. I think that they have done a lot of work on fallout and they should chill out and make a new elder scrolls. I like the fallout series a lot more than the elder scrolls but they need to add some variety and make a truly epic fantasy game for us. Then when they go to make a proper fallout 4 (New Vegas (made by obsidian) was nice and definitely good work but it was not the sort of epic I wanted, I was looking for the NEXT fallout and it's not what I got even though I loved it) they will sit down and take the time to do it properly and not give it to obsidian.

In short I want an elder scrolls then a Bethesda Fallout 4.

Awesome poll choices :p
I think we need to have more polls like this to be honest.

I hate it when there's a poll that's like:

(Opinion 1)
(Opinion 2)
(Opinion 2 but less)

Then Opinion 1 ends up winning, even though the votes split between opinion 2's could be more.

Yes these are the things that keep me up at night.

as i tend to play a melee and healing style FATS might get me to play a ranged style instead of disregarding it as clumsy

as for what id like to see in a Elder scrolls game is an increase in assassin, stealth, and thief type quests. For that matter id love to see the whole game packed with way more quests than was in oblivion.

I'm just now playing though Fallout 3 GOTY edition, plus New Vegas just came out. It should be a new TES, right now its 2:1 for Fallout. I'm only counting the recent ones, not TES 1-3 or fallout 1-2, since I'm never going to play them.

Elder Scrolls. I liked Morrowind, loved Oblivion, and it can only get better right? Maybe it's only that less work was put into the change from FO3 to NV, than in the transition from TES: III to TES: IV. But I personally feel that the Elder Scrolls series has much more promise than the new Fallouts. That's not that I think that Bethesda should stop making Fallouts.

Also, Bethesda has apparently been working on something in secret for the past few years. Most people think it's the next TES.

VATS was designed because Fallout used guns. Since it would be a bad idea to mix regular shooter action with the free roaming RPG type of the game, they had to develop a new system to facilitate shooter combat. At least, that's how I looked at it. But TES has always had a greater emphasis on melee weapons, and I think VATS would just be gratuitous.

Also, I always much preferred the skill-based Elder Scrolls level-up system better. It's a nice little break from standard experience points in my opinion.
