That's just a "should because I like it better."

Seriously? Fast travel was great, because surprisingly, i like to spend my time enjoying the game rather then spending an hour travelling between cities.PaulH said:I'm hoping for a new TES game ... need a good hacky slashy ...
Obviously more in the vein of Morrowind, not Oblivion (albeit Shivering Isles was fun ^_^). No Fast Travel <.< IF you're in the wilderness you're STUCK THERE.
That and I want to see vampiric Snake people eating monkey men ... stop fucking teasing us already and create an Akavir - Based TES.
With ships and islands instead of just one big continental landmass. A game in which you get to command a ship would be nice <.< but that's possibly asking too much ... but an Akavir-based TES would be *awesome*.
Lets escape the 'usual' races and embrace the exotic in TES 5 ... give the option to play one of the original races, but don't have them as the focus for the majority of contacts.
Your post is irritating ME, cause you haven't played Morrowind it seems, their first big title =|bojackx said:In my opinion, Fallout is terrible and always will be.
I am forever waiting for the next Elder Scrolls because Oblivion was one of the greatest games I ever played.

Ships and Islands? That's nothing like Elder Scrolls and I'm glad it's not, because that's a God awful idea.
I'm sorry but your post just irritated me, you're hoping that the next elder scrolls is nothing like elder scrolls...
Akavir is lame. It has next to no content and its appeal is in hinting at mysterious, unknowable things.bojackx said:That and I want to see vampiric Snake people eating monkey men ... stop fucking teasing us already and create an Akavir - Based TES.
A magical teleport button is stupid. It's a lazy, immersion-killing cheat.Seriously? Fast travel was great, because surprisingly, i like to spend my time enjoying the game rather then spending an hour travelling between cities.
Sigh. It's a big world out there. Go look up TSA: Redguard.Ships and Islands? That's nothing like Elder Scrolls and I'm glad it's not, because that's a God awful idea.
Yeah, I understand that Morrowind didn't have fast travel, and there was boats, but there was no commanding of ships, because that's homosexual.cybran said:Your post is irritating ME, cause you haven't played Morrowind it seems, their first big title =|
Well done quoting someone else and saying it's me.maturin said:bojackx said:That and I want to see vampiric Snake people eating monkey men ... stop fucking teasing us already and create an Akavir - Based TES.
I dont think you get the point, the boats served as fast travel, but you had to pay for it.bojackx said:Yeah, I understand that Morrowind didn't have fast travel, and there was boats, but there was no commanding of ships, because that's homosexual.cybran said:Your post is irritating ME, cause you haven't played Morrowind it seems, their first big title =|
And I just generally didn't enjoy the lack of fast travel, that's probably why they put fast travel in the sequel.

And also, fast travel isn't compulsory, so get this, you can NOT use it, zomg.
What the hell?bojackx said:Yeah, I understand that Morrowind didn't have fast travel, and there was boats, but there was no commanding of ships, because that's homosexual.
The failure of so many people to grasp this simple idea over so many years continues to astound me.bojackx said:And also, fast travel isn't compulsory, so get this, you can NOT use it, zomg.
Ohh I like how you placed no reasoning at all and simply stated your opinion. Because of that well built-argument, I am now completely on your side.maturin said:The failure of so many people to grasp this simple idea over so many years continues to astound me.bojackx said:And also, fast travel isn't compulsory, so get this, you can NOT use it, zomg.
Oblivion fast travel system=shit
Oblivion without fast travel=shit
Oblivion with a fast travel system that makes sense and isn't a teleport cheat that doesn't work indoors=not shit
You didn't read my post, did you? Or you read it and didn't understand it or the one before it. I don't know how I can put it more simply. I was outlining an opinion that is continually misrepresented and dismissed, despite its overwhelming popularity.bojackx said:Ohh I like how you placed no reasoning at all and simply stated your opinion. So to conclude:
Oblivion with fast travel = Not compulsory, so it satisfies both parties, so... not shit?
I did understand your post, it didn't make much sense though. Oblivion's fast travel system did make sense, you click on a place and it takes you there. The part about being indoors doesn't make sense, you can't fast travel indoors? And even though the post before this one was completely different to the explanation you gave, I agree with you.maturin said:You didn't read my post, did you? The only thing worse than teleporting everywhere is walking everywhere. Could you maybe remove all distractions, concentrate very hard and conceive of an option that is somewhere in-between those two? Perhaps one that has been implemented before in previous games, in various iterations, and referenced in this very thread?
Didn't you call piloting a ship 'homosexual?' I'm not sure that qualifies as a point.bojackx said:Ohh, also, someone posted something about piloting planes earlier, not really sure what relevance that had to the point i was making...
Well, regardless, if I didn't want to command a ship in a game, does that mean I like piloting planes in real life or something?maturin said:Didn't you call piloting a ship 'homosexual?' I think its the opposite. Fallout appeals to both RPG and FPS players that as popular as the pox. When you consider that Bethesda didn't even create New Vegas and instead handed it on down to Obsidian I think its not beyond reason to think that they are creating Fallout 4.Pararaptor said:Should: a new Fallout.
