This is an argument that has split gamers since the games first release. Everyone says one is better than the other, so lets settle this. Which is better, in your opinion? Saints Row/Saints Row 2, or the GTA series? Get as blunt or as specific in your arguments as you feel fit. Lets finish this argument here and now... (And please, no shootings in my thread.)

Personally I go for realism and GTA IV is gritty realism. Plus the game looks more real than saints row i've seen side by side clips of both games

Just because the results of the poll will say one way or another, doesn't mean that the argument will end. Truthfully it really doesn't matter. If you like your game screw the rest of the people. They don't know what they're missing. And really, they don't need you or anyone else for that matter. They'll figure it out for themselves. Or you may be wrong. Nobody is always right.

My only reason for voting GTA was that Saint's Row had a bullshit port to the PC.

Im just curious as to what everyone has to say about it. Ever since Saints Row came out I've heard bitching matches left and right on which one is better. Personally, i prefer Saints Row. I would just like to see everyones opinion.

Weres the none option?

I never played a SR game but I like to believe both have their charm, and no one stops you from buying both.

I'll have to go whit Grand Theft Auto 4 here. I mean Saints Row was fun but it seemed like a joke the entire time playing it...who says that wasn't fun tho. Yet Grand Theft Auto just seemed...better to me.

Why do you insist that we choose just one? They both have their own appeal.
Well, a "versus" poll, as it was called, suggests that one is better than the other. I want to see which one gets the majority vote. Im curious as to how it will turn out.

I grew up on GTA I/II/London. GTA III was meh, Vice City and San Andreas were great. GTA IV sucks on PC HEY COUSIN WANNA GO SEE HOOKERS?!!, I mean the requirements for the future PCs. To run smoothly. On minimum.

Versus threads get closed after a day or two.

Fair enough. I once tried that with MGS and Splinter Cell. I still stand by my position of indecisiveness.

Grand Theft Auto IV just took all the fun out. I remember playing Vice City and just getting into random car chases and murdurous rampages with my cousins Patrick and Chucky and my friend Michael just for fun.....

So, unfortunatly, Saints Row.

I have to say I love the number of things you can customize in Saints Row 2. Never really liked GTA 3, felt like a step down in quality from 1 and 2... then when I played San Andreas, it was fun for a while, then it just sort of dragged on and got boring. SR2, I picked up, played, played more, and I keep finding new things that I like, despite the rather obscene amount of drugs in the story, activities, etc. Sure, there are swear-invoking moments every so often... but the game is just too entertaining to stay mad at. I just hope no-one ever takes it seriously... >.>

I love saints row 2, but I don't hate gta, I loved all of them but I found 4 a bit meh. So I rather saints row 2 over gta 4, because I didn't like the shift from fun to gritty realism.
