Thanks for remembering. Scott's thread has loads more great information, but it's a sticky, and therefore invisible to many posters.

I think of my posts as being critical of poor quality, but I hope people understand there's no genuine malice behind it. There's a difference between being an elitist, and always exhorting others to do better. I have no idea how I come across to others in posts, but this is my intention, anyway.

I thought it was informative and humorous (at least that thread)...

I wish everyone would say to them self, "what does it matter?" before flaming someone, that's the kind of thing I like to see. They're just movies after all, an hour and half sitting in front of a screen, and yet people get so worked up about it.

And I've never seen Death Proof, if it's an action movie I'd probably like it.

Well, some people (like Spoony) see the success of a "bad" movie as being responsible for causing/perpetuating negative trends in film making. Others don't want to see a "bad" film rewarded with money and/or critical praise. Still others see the movie, think it sucks, and don't want to appear to back down from that opinion.

I can see that maybe if I was Roger Ebert, I wouldn't want to go easy on a movie like Transformers. But this is just a gaming website, you know?

I think Death Proof is awesome, with one of the best soundtracks in movie history, great dialogue and some amazing stunts. But it isn't Pulp Fiction and doesn't follow even a semblance of the Tarantino classic model. I can only assume that's why nobody likes it.

Now, From Dusk 'Till Dawn is downright BAD Tarantino. He should be ashamed for that one, unless sucking was his goal (you never know with him).

At least I am still the member with the earliest join date on this thread. And my low post count just means that I only say something when I have something to say and nothing else what so ever about me. Cause I am the greatest of the great that ever roamed these forums.
