I'm 15, but I'll be 16 a month from tomorrow.

I feel like age comes into play in gaming especially whenever sequels are released. This is quite a big thing because gaming is the only industry where the majority of big name titles are sequels. You know, you'll get a younger player ranting about how great Fallout 3 is and then older players will feel kinda weird because they loved the first two and this kid probably doesn't even know what they are. I mean, my friends didn't know there was a Half-Life game before Half-Life 2 before I told them. They thought that the first game in the series was called "Half-Life 2."

18 almost 19.

As stated in the aforementioned thread I started gaming at 4 playing the original Quake on my dads knee.

Yes I used grenades on zombies to blow them into "chunky kibbles" when I was 4.

Well I'm 30, been playing games since my first spectrum. I was kinda behind the times, but it was a rubber keyed zx81. Ridiculously old school. Now I spend most of my time playing old games on this ancient rig of mine.

I'm 19 and have been playing games since I was 5, I was watching my dad play games since I was a baby when he'd sit me in his lap as he played his SEGA Megadrive. (Which later became my SEGA Megadrive)

15-24 Are pretty much the majority not much surprise but the confirmation is reassuring. Btw I'm 16 gaming for just under 7 years.

I'm 21 and I've been gaming since I was 5. Ah, the original Mario Bros on the NES. Brings back memories.

I'm 23, started gaming at 4 years old. My first game was Super Mario bros. I'm proud to have such an iconic game as my first. I also am surprised that there are 10-14 year olds on here... that's... unsettling.

I'm 36. Although the first game I played was 'Pong' on my cousin's console, the first one I ever owned was
That's some high-tech shit, bitches!

...then I didn't touch another game until about 2006....and now I'm an addict...

32. I remember playing Pitfall like mad when I was young -crocodiles never pissed me off so much- and I vaguely remember a tank game and an E.T. game. But my pops was a computer programmer, so I don't think I really got addicted to games until I snuck in and started playing all the Sierra stuff he bought. Ah... Space Quest. I am pretty sure I was about 9 or 10 then. I have been playing ever since, though I've mostly stuck to consoles because my PC addiction was getting out of control. Buying a new PC every year is not healthy and I ran out of people to give my old ones too.

Exactly 3 months older than me... and a computer programming Father...Maybe you can help!

Did you have a ever have a Timex Sinclair?

I remember my older brother inputting the code for a game for which I cannot recall the name. It involved your avatar moving steadily upward through an ever shrinking tunnel. If your avatar touched a wall or an obstacle it was game over. Do you remember this game (and its name)?
I wish I could help you out. We had a Commodore 64, and I remember playing games on that, but the Sinclair... I don't recall. The game sounds a little like 3D Tunnel, where you guide a ship through a tunnel that moves around. But I don't think that's what you are looking for.

You might try contacting the UofM Computer and Video Game Archive. When I worked up there, that's who we'd contact with questions like these.

You can fire off an email their way and see if you get a response.
