No, can't say I have.

I've punched walls or hit my knuckles together out of frustration. That hurts, but I'm pretty sure it's not what you mean.

I've been guilty of scratching a mosquito bite so hard it starts to bleed, and yes it feels that good to really scratch the #@%@ out of that itch.

No.

I tried erotic asphyxiation once. Not good.
Ouch. You didn't hurt yourself too much, did you?

I've never hurt myself for pleasure. I don't see the point in it. Yea, it might somehow feel good, but after that feeling goes away, all you got left is pain. At least, that's how I see it.
I remember it as way too painful. I was almost blacking out. I've been through worst though.
That has to be one of the most embarrassing ways to die. With a rope around your neck and your hand in your pants.

Well, thank goodness that it didn't get any worse than that.

I'm kind of a masochist. I like a little pain with my pleasure.
Replace 'kind of' with 'MAJORLY', and you've got me. Although most of the harm I've had inflicted for sexual pleasure has been at a partner's hands.
Pretty much this.

Hurting yourself is far less enjoyable because you know it's coming. Surprise and variation are just as important as the pain itself.

No, I've never done it for pleasure myself. And to let a romantic partner do it to me, I'd really have to like her.

No man! It wasn't like that. It was my boyfriend's idea. He came up with the idea of putting a plastic bag over my head and a belt around my neck while... you know... doing it. He got to carried away. I could've died that day.

Somewhat. I've done a martial art that focused heavily on joint locks, and I used to practice them on my own wrists whenever my hands were free for a few years. Sure, there's only this much you can do to yourself that way, but it makes it more tolerable when someone else applies the joint lock to you.

To some extent, it feels somewhat comforting even. But now it's only a force of habit for me, I'd like to keep my joints flexible.

Then you weren't doing it right =p

Although it's something to be responsible about, like a lot of hardcore BDSM stuff. You don't wanna hang yourself with a towel...

I already explained it. Boyfriend's idea. Plastic bag and belt while sex. Carried away to far.

The amount of people answering yes to that poll is kind of surprising.
Agreed... Although another poll established that we have a very high rate of mental disorders here also. Is there a link?

were im from, there are a lot of electric fences. when i was younger i used go out and find a fence and just grab on to it for a few seonds, i just thought it felt cool, well one day, after the third week of me wearing and arm brace, (im accident prone) i went out two ride my bike, i went by an electric fence and said hey why not. of course, i grabbed it with my arm with the brace. (arm braces have a metal bar going up the arm to the palm) as im grabing this, i also had my bike held by the metal. as soon as the first shock went through, i was cured of that problem.
I've always been fascinated by electricity. When I was younger I used to stick special batteries onto my tongue to feel sparks and a tingle across it. Its not the same but I've never been in a position to feel a real jolt but it is something I'd like to experience, obviously not a lethal one though.

Yes, all the time, it's called booze, take that liver.
base on that I guess my answer should have been a yes then, though I barely even get any pleasure from that too, but I supposed it was the point.

Other then that.. I can't think of any times I've hurt myself voluntary for pleasure, or maybe trying to remove the problem, like for example, my big toe hurts if it pretty much touch anything, the pain feels from near the nail, so I'll meddle with it in an attempt to correct that, I suppose that don't count. Not the right place I know, but fun story with electricity, when I was young I believed everything you put electricity in it would emit light, one day a light bulb I can reach is missing, so I shove my thumb in there, didn't let it there very long. I'm rather 'cowardly' in what concern pain, I think pox rocks even used to make me cry.

Yes. There was a point in my life where some bad things happened. But it's all in the past now.
