Poll: Ever Lost Conciousness?

Well. The first time was just at the doctor's office with a needle. The SECOND time was the interesting one.

I was in class and my friend told me to listen to this music thingamajig called "iDoser". Suppose to be some audio high or something. You are suppose to pay for certain sound waves that mess with your brain waves or something and it replicates moods. I was very skeptical about all of it, so I listened to a free one called "Happy". I stopped a minute and a half in because I was bored and just went about my business. About five minutes later I start feeling kinda dizzy, so I lay my head down on my desk. Next thing I know, my name is being shouted from all around and I am being pulled up from lying flat on my back on the ground. I had no idea what just happened. It was insane. The doctor says it was not due to the music. Still. It's too weird to be a coincidence.

Can't say I have. I'm terrified unconcious for the same really I'm don't do drugs or drink excessivly. I don't like the thought of being out of my mind. To not be "all there". I don't want to mess with my perceptions of reality.


Of course, I WAS put to sleep to get my wisdom teeth out. This was 4 months ago and I started going into shock after they put the needle in. I remember panicing and I was starting to shake, but then I woke up with a mouth full of blood and Gauze.

I also go out like a burned out lightbulb whenever I puke.

got concussed whilst playing some lunch time rugby about 6-7 years ago, not sure if its the same thing, but i only remember bits and pieces of that day, dont remember the actual game either. Also the doctor asked me to touch my nose, took me about 2 mins to do that after i tried to touch hers.

I had my first epileptic seizure a few weeks ago that rendered me unconscious. It was two songs into a concert I was psyched to see, but their dueling strobe lights triggered something... Had amnesia for a few moments after they revived me and helped me up out of the basement and pulled me outside.

I was in a state between concious and unconcious after i got hit by a door when i was running.
Some people open doors too fast.

Yes once during a game of football (Australian rules). I smother someones kick with my face and got knocked out. And i had to go off because the runner thought i had concussion. It sucked.

by violence - got in a fight, the guy put me in a headlock. took me 28 seconds to pass out, the longest 28 seconds of my life.
by drugs/alcohol - I'm an alcoholic, it's what I do.
by a medical anesthesia - Had my wisdom teeth out in january.

Almost did once. I overheat really fast and almost fainted in a gamestop once from it. I left and sat down and got better though.

Going too fast on my bike (I was ~11), hit a curb wrong causing me to fly over the handlebars into a tree. Good thing I was wearing my helmet. I was able to get up, stumble about 6 feet and pass out on a neighbors lawn. I woke up very well rested, TBH.

Can't say I really HAVE - have, but once when I was sick on christmas eve (Hurray...) I think I passed out on my bed. My view was dizzy, I couldn't stand up and I fell poof on my bed, woke up a few minutes after.

It was scary as shiet since I was, what, twelve?

I took a chair to the face once. That didn't end with me being awake.

It was kind of like this, except it was a desk... and I was the one holding it... and I was the one still standing at the end. Oh wait, me being knocked out? Ummm, they put me to sleep for an MRI in 2nd grade.

I'm a martial artist who does alot of tornaments so naturally i've taken a few blows to the head that have rendered unconcions.

Once when I was like 8 I got up from bed after sleeping super fast, and started spinning around and kindoff hyperventilated (I have no idea why the hell I would do that). Everything went black and I dropped like a rock. Was only for a few seconds though.

I've never really blacked out because of alcohol. When I've had enough and the hour is late enough I just become really tired and lay down and then I sleep really heavily. Never seen the purpose of drinking till you drop

I can say I have once. The class bullies tricked me into holding my breath for as long as I could (It was 6th grade!), next thing I knew I was in the nurses office being told to spit that tooth into the sink.

Despite the awful headache I had when I a few moments after I woke up, it actually wasn't that bad, it was like when you wake up from a really good dream and just want to go back to sleep. That said it wasn't worth the pain afterwards, and I wouldn't do it again.

Yeah, I was hit in the head with a hockey ball (it came off our goalie's pads and straight into my face).

I was only unconscious for a few minutes, though luckily nothing was broken.

Other than sleep, just once. I was riding my bike down a hill leading to a bridge with a fountain next to it. One instant I was coasting down the hill, the next instant I was halfway across the bridge when a gust of wind blew water from the fountain into my face while my bike was tilted about twenty degrees toward the street. I barely managed to keep the bike upright.
