I turned off 300. I just kind of didn't give a shit. It was pretty early in the movie, too, but I just said "Screw it."

I don't often walk out of movies because I'm not at movies that often.

I walked out of Inglorious Bastards. Worst movie I ever saw.
I thought it sucked myself after I first saw it, but after it soaked in I loved it. It may be boring to some, but I freaking loved the writing. And you didn't see the ending, obviously? One of the best in movie history.

Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King.

It just bored me, bored me intensely. I can sort of see why other people would like it, and it's very well made, but as a film, it totally and utterly failed to suck me in. After the 15th time of going 'Jesus, is it over yet?' I did something I've never done since and never did before, I just left.
Ninja'd.

Return of the king was the only movie to ever make me leave. 3 Hours of Tolkkein tripe nearly had me passed out. After the scene where Frodo wakes up after destroying the ring and the movie seemed to have intentions to go on for another half hour, I walked out. I manage to see the majority of the movie though - but I still think to this day it was the most bored I have ever been in a movie.

Oh, and my Dad walked out of Saving Private Ryan because he started crying and didn't want to bear the shame of crying infront of Mum. I was too young to remember, but apparently during that scene after the medic is killed and Tom Hanks breaks down crying, my Dad felt like he was going to have a burst of tears so he walked out and to this day has never seen the rest of the movie.

I almost walked out on Transformers 2 because of a sewage leak in the theater I was in, but somehow managed to suffer through it. Later on I made a joke about how the sewage smell was on purpose as a metaphor of the movie.

I don't watch a lot of movies in theaters unless I know pretty damn well that it's going to be good. The only movie I had to stop watching before it ever finished, though, was Eragon. I rented it on a lark.

Yeah. I want my 5 bucks back.

Even movies I know are on the "meh" range I'll watch. I sat through Avatar knowing it was just Dancing with Smurfs. I sat through all three Lord of the Rings movies even though I knew exactly what was happening.

No, but my father and I walked out of a live theatre production that my father himself paid 2000 rand ($250) for. It was Swan Lake on Ice that my mother convinced the whole family to see. OH my... If you value you soul, and the contents of your wallet, do not watch that performance. I actually, genuinely puked afterwards (and it wasn't because of the crappy theatre treats!)
Off topic, but i noticed you're a South African. I am too, but i don't live there anymore.
How is the country? All i hear is bad things.

On Topic: no. when i pay for a movie, i watch the whole thing, even if it's shit.

Never. My dad walked out of District 9 which I can't believe. But even if it's a bad movie that I didn't want to see, I'll still watch the whole thing. There are some movies I've started on Netflix that I've never finished, though. But never when I'm at the theater.

I walked out of avatar when they tried to sing that girl back to life. That movie really sucks and district 9 was so much better.

WHY DID IT MAKE SO MUCH MONEY.
I really liked it the first time I watched it.
I thought it was actually pretty pathetic the second time.
I stopped the movie and thought it was shit the third time.

Yes, District 9 is awesome. I wanna see the ending :(

I tried to walk out on "Mona Lisa Smile".
But, as we were on the redeye to Las Vegas, some bossy flight attendants had to get involved.

No. Generally I want my money's worth. If I'm not paying for the tickets, or with a group of friends then I wouldn't leave them.

Tom Hanks dies. We win the war, though.
Oh, and people throw helmets.

Nearly walked out of my DVD viewing of 300, but I had a download going, so I basically had nothing else to do.

I did, but only once. I can't remember what it was but it was bad what I do remember was being pissed that I didn't get my moneys worth and walking into the theater right next to it which was showing the simpsons movie, which was good.

OT: Never walked out on a movie. Maybe because the ones i go to are the ones that end up being mega super hits and receive ridiculous critical acclaim. D9 BITCHES! to name one

Hell, I sat through Heavens Gate for fucks sake! But not Return Of The King.
To enjoy the LOTR series you need to understand it
which means reading the painfully long book and sort of having a basic knowledge of the language tolkien invented.

I walked out on "Bruges" because i found it to be nothing but a big piece of Gore and kills with painfully low humor.

I walked out of Gamer 40 minutes in. Usually I'd say "Well I made it this far, so I'll just stick inside" but no. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. I even stayed inside the Twilight movies because they were bad in a hilarious way. Gamer was just painful to sit through completely. And if I have to watch it again, my reaction would be an overused meme:

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUU--
