It isn't a Star Wars game, though, it's a Knights of the Old Republic game! And a Mass Effect MMO?bladeofdarkness said:screw that
there is already too much star-wars related games out there
hell, there is an entire expended universe of star-wars fiction beyond the movies
there is ENOUGH star wars as it is
having BioWare waste there time on a star-wars MMO is just pointless at this stage
you want a good franchise to turn into an MMO - use the Mass effect universe
Yeah, but since Obsidian completely buttfucked the story of the series in KOTOR 2, a KOTOR 3 will probably have to have nothing to do with Revan or the story of the first two.Woodsey said:Where's the "Give me KotOR 3 - NOW." option?
They could still continue into what happened to both of them - the basic plot was still there, no matter how much Obsidian raped the second.CosmicCommander said:Yeah, but since Obsidian completely buttfucked the story of the series in KOTOR 2, a KOTOR 3 will probably have to have nothing to do with Revan or the story of the first two.Woodsey said:Where's the "Give me KotOR 3 - NOW." option?
The Old Republic could be seen as KOTOR 3,4,5, and 6, if one were to consider it.
'What happened to them' may be addressed in the MMO for all we know. But maybe it's better that we don't know, speculation can be extremely fun at this juncture.Woodsey said:They could still continue into what happened to both of them - the basic plot was still there, no matter how much Obsidian raped the second.
What story is there to be told? And as I said before, that may be addressed in the MMO.Woodsey said:Bioware have used that exact line on me before (it being KotOR 3,4,5 and 6) and I'm not buying it. I want the story finished properly, and I want it singleplayer.
That's true, but that doesn't mean one may get completely different things out of both, if we get a great story, characters, and universe, dies it matter whether it is MMO or not? But BioWare have said that 90% per cent or so of the game can be done on your own.Woodsey said:There's a world of difference between an MMO and a SP game - you can't sub one for the other.
What happened to them was addressed on the website. Revan never returned apparently; I can't think of a less satisfying conclusion. Not to go totally nerdy here, but we're talking about two of the most powerful Jedi ever.CosmicCommander said:'What happened to them' may be addressed in the MMO for all we know. That's true, but isn't it possible we may encounter Revan and the Exile somewhere in the game? I wouldn't put it past BioWare to pay homage to all of us KOTOR fanboys. Revan and the Exile may serve as a driving force of the larger story, I consider that a good possibility.Woodsey said:What happened to them was addressed on the website. I don't think humans live until they're over 300 years old, even in Star Wars unfortunately.CosmicCommander said:That's true, but isn't it possible we may encounter Revan and the Exile somewhere in the game? There may be ways in the Star Wars universe where long-term incapacitation or an unnatural utilization of the Force may be able to ensure existence for the long-term...Woodsey said:I don't think humans live until they're over 300 years old, even in Star Wars unfortunately.CosmicCommander said:That's true, but isn't it possible we may encounter Revan and the Exile somewhere in the game?
