Well, even though I really like Ezio (probably even more than I like Batman) I'd have to say Batman would probably win.

A, Batman's clothes are by default black, which is much better for stealthing around.

B, Batman has way better and way more high-tech/reliable gadgets.

C, Batman is a superhero with the superpower of luck.

D, Batman has a f*cking super car and a giant underground laboratory headquarters.

Batman has much more than an eagle. He has heat vision, night vision, etc. He would find Ezio pretty easily.

Yeah, except heat/night vision would tell him who Ezio is, just allow him to see various silhouette in the dark. Ezio would immediately know who batman is the minute he started glowing gold.

Look up. You also realize that batman HIDES right? Ezio can't stab what he can't see. You also have to bring into consideration of his suit. The batsuit is bulletproof, and a knife would be laughable. He fights the joker, whom uses guns, and still comes out on top.

First off they both hide so by that logic it'd just be a stalemate of them just waiting on ledges for the other to walk by. Also, though batman has a bulletproof suit, his face is still quite vulnerable and Ezio has a knack for going for weak/exposed parts in armor. And I really wouldn't compare Ezio to the Joker. One's a highly trained assassin and ones a homicidal lunatic (albeit a clever one, but still not very good in combat).

Even if Batman wouldn't kill Ezio, he could still break his legs and/or arms or do something else that takes Ezio out of the fight permanently... so Batman all the way.

I think most people are forgetting that the OP states that Bats has none of his gadgets. In a 1500's tech setting the match would probably be pretty even, except that Ezio would higher people to do the job and since Ezio could just wait til someone turns gold... Tech just makes it lopsided.

Aside from his absolutely staggering array of CANON skills; Comic Batman is IMMORTAL. There was a series where he literally came back from the dead. The pits of Lazarus were involved...

Batman's brilliance doesn't come from his gadgets, so taking them away is inconvenient, but not a deal breaker.

Also, the fans have been over this enough haven't they? If Batman has adequate preparation time, he can and will defeat anyone or anything put in his way.

Read tvtropes Crazy Prepared bit on Batman, it recounts a story told where the entire world is under the control of Gorilla Grodd except for Batman. Batman's arm is robotic and Superman is gone in space because the atmosphere has Kryptonite in it. He wins and it turns out the entire thing was a simulation just in case that situation would ever happen.

Batman also has been established to know about Sailer Moon, just in case, so chances are he would have already roleplayed the situation you talk about when the Assassin's Creed games came out.

Batman always wins.

While I think Ezio has a style edge, and has learned that having a "Brotherhood" helps, Batman has almost unlimited money and a huge technological advantage.

For the most part, history has proven that those with a technological advantage win.
