I want a better magic system, and a fixed leveling system.

+1
also, it'd be cool if there were more than one guild for each type
You mean like in Morrowind with the Morag Tong and Camonna Tong or Oblivion's Blackwood Company, creating rivalries with the standard guilds?
Yep. It'd be nice if there was a bit more variety there.

Elder scrolls.
The fact that you could actually have more variety in weapons and class, etc. It was like, "wow, I can use melee, with blade, axes, or hammers! Or bows! Or magics that have various elements and sub-classes!"
In Fallout, it was more "Wow, I can use guns or melee! And, uh... VATS? And... mines that nobody ever uses?"
If they just improved the voice acting and the graphics in Oblivion along with fixing that first STUPID quest in the Knights of the Nine expansion, I would buy it straight away. Another point, is that Elder Scrolls' combat can gradually get more and more complex, with better dodges, types of strikes, magic, and the such, while Fallout is just shooting.

Oblivion was so full of color and life and frolicking little woodland mammals, while Fallout was so depressing and bleak... I'm going to have to go with TES V.
Yup, this is basically my view on it too.
Fantasy forests filled with mythical creatures beat empty wastelands any day.

Plus I like swords and medieval things in general.

I understood New Vegas was being developed by Obsidian, so it's not really a question of it taking up Bethesda's time. Oh and Obsidian make good games, i dont think any of us will be disappointed, at least not from a storytelling point of view.

Oblivion was cool but you never felt really free the same way you did in Morrowind, Oblivion had constraints that always brought you back to the main plot, you couldn't just make your own plot up in your head and run with it. In Oblivion i got constantly pissed at spending ages sneaking my way into an important person's vicinity and raping him with paralysis and much backstabbing only to have him fall asleep for 30 seconds ("XXX is unconcious!!!!") while half the imperial legion piled into the room to remind you that you are considerably less invulnerable than your intended target.
In Morrowind if you had max lockpicking and balls of steel there was nothing stopping you from entering the tribunal and making Vivec your personal (dead) *****. I don't remember any of that tedious nerevarine prophecy shit but killing the benevolent warrior-poet/god/king of the entire game hasto be cooler.

Dark Brotherhood was fun but it doesn't have squat on Morag Tong missions, the part i enjoyed most of Oblivion was the Thieves' Guild missions: the backstory and locales(especially in later missions) were excellent and engrossing, the only drawback to them being if you did them first then you ended up roughly level 12 with all your levels and points in sneaking, lockpicking and jumping around like a kangaroo who just watched the Indiana Jones trilogy. Try killing a fucking minotaur with that.

Elder Scrolls V.
Fallout 4 should be next.
I prefer Elder Scrolls because Fallout gives me that feelling that everything around you is dead... Well, it is dead...
Elder Scrolls is much better because it has a much bigger area of exploration, great missions and you don't have to give a sh** about karma.

Would need to be Fallout 4 for me.

As much as I love the Elder Scrolls series, the Fallout 3 release saw me really getting into the whole Post-Apoc Modern Era feel.

And, no matter how much magic I could hurl at bears in Oblivion...nothing for me beats a burst fire of an automatic machine gun via V.A.T.S into the face of an oncoming super mutant...beautiful.

The ES!
i like that fantasy wonderland more ,than that depressing shit-like terrain of Fallout 3,
tough i rly liked the music and some more stuff, but Oblivion with addons beats it.
just do smthing wth the lvling system ,ffs i felt like a total nerd when i first made a fking
chart of the skills.and the voice acting was ridicolous.

Both the Elder Scrolls series and the Fallout series have a boring universe, medieval and apocalyptic respectively, that have been done to death. If I had to choose, I would go for Medieval and thus I choose Elder Scrolls. It would be sweet if the Elder Scrolls V rumour turned out to be true (you know the one about it taking place 200 years later). It might actually make me give a damn about the game.

Well, I liked Fallout 3 better than Oblivion, however I feel that TES:V would be a lot better than a Fallout 4.

Fallout 3 for sure.

What can I say?

I like the future, I like shooting things and watching their brain matter fly into the distance, I like nukes, I like picking grenades into pockets, I like the rippers (chainsaw-like sword things) I like robots, I like audio logs, I like miniguns, I love ghouls/zombies, I like post apocalyptia, I like lasers, I like 3dog, I like radiation.

I like Elder scrolls 4, but not as much.

Wrong, Bethesda's two best title were Morrowind and Daggerfall.
Alright, alright. How about this: "Bethesda's two best titles of the current generation." Satisfied?

Don't get all up in arms over my comment. The question still stands as it is. Especially considering you all have a special place in your hearts for some part of the Elder Scrolls series, the announcement of a new installment would generally have you all reacting in the same manner, correct? So there you go!

Elder Scrolls V, fallout 3 failed to impress me and its so goddamn small..Oblivion had 10x quests and its graphics were prettier than the brownish rubble in fallout 3

Elder Scrolls. No doubt. Oblivion was clearly the worse between the two current titles, but that was due to one thing: A standard, unvaried fantasy setting. Wolves, castles, meadows, dungeons, etc. But look at the type of gameplay the Elder Scrolls is capable of: in Morrowind, instead of horses, the fast travel system relied on giant insects controlled by manipulation of their nervous system. The landscape went from marshe to desert to grassland to mountains and snow with an expansion pack.

Now, think about the innovation from each game Bethesda to the next in other fields. Morrowind to Oblivion in terms of graphics, streamlined skills, more realistic combat, etc. Oblivion to Fallout in controls, exploration, variety, etc.

Add the surefire improvements to gameplay to a wonderful, original setting. Thats gonna be the next Elder Scrolls game.
