TES:V for sure. Although I normally like future over fantasy, I didn't care to much for Fallout 3. It was just so damn dull and depressing. Cross over a hill, oh look! Some lifeless rocks and rubble. Oh boy. And while it was sort of exciting to finally reach the building you saw an hour ago in the distance, it always was the burial ground of a dozen lost souls. And whereas in Oblivion it felt as though you could carve your own life out (I fondly remember my first few days in Chorrl), in Fallout it always seemed that you were on the edge of existance. Now, some people may find that exciting, but it just felt depressing to me. Might as well turn around and head right back into that Vault.

Elder Scrolls. no competition there for me. but it would have to be more like the Shivering isles that was so fun. oddly enough i thought the main storyline was too boring in IV. preferred the side guilds and DLC

Dunno. Both were very fun, both were fail after a while. For Oblivion, the OOO mod made it much, MUCH better (and more challenging too) imho.

Start by improving AI.
THen stop making ennemies able to survive being turned into pin-cushions.
Make the worlds less brown.
Get more voice actors.
Remove the creepy way the NPC behave when we talk to them..
Improve mounts, so we can fight on horseback
Make the worlds more «alive» with people that actually do something usefull... like seeing them work or take a wagon to move out of town and trade. THe current system, as cute as it is, doesnt do much good.
Also, in elderscroll, fix the magic system. Its way too powerfull. Basicaly, make the different fightings options all valid and more balanced in the endgame.

Going against the popular opinion i voted for fallout 4. this is though heavily influenced by the fact that i have only seriouslt played fallout 3.
I never got round to properly playing Oblivion. though i did enjoy it when i played.

I agree wholeheartedly about the magic. Seemed to me like a proficient magic user could best a stealth specialist at stealth with Illusion and Alteration, deal more damage and survive longer than a combat spec with Restoration, Destruction, and Conjuration. Unfair.

OT: I Honestly think it will be Elder Scrolls, not because I want it more but because DC for Fallout 3 is still coming out while they've had years too work on Elder Scrolls, pus the fantasy setting allows for more variety, rather than different bombed out cities (New idea: Next Fallout in irradiated countryside/ coastal setting? Lets hope)

You are aware that New Vegas isn't going to be FO4.

OT:I would rather take a good dose of a new Elder Scrolls game.

And use the search bar next time you make a new thread!
Congradulations captain! You've just been promoted to Admiral Obvious. Yes I am aware I'm just more excited for the new instalment of Fallout more.

New Vegas isnt FO4 and isnt developed by Beteshda but by the people who did the first two
Read the above, you've also taken the former captains place.

You obviously didn't listen to GNR. How can a game seem depressing with those tunes?

The desicion between Fallout and oblivion is really tough. I love them both and I've lost many days of my life to them, but honestly, I think it's time for another Elder Scrolls. I've had enough of Fallout for a bit, I want fantasy, then fallout... then another elder scrolls followed by another fallout and so on.

Elder Scrolls V is more interesting to me, though I have to say after playing and replaying Oblivion recently I seriously find all sorts of faults and problems in the game. Faults and problems meaning, of course, a number of things that I found still weren't quite right or needed improving upon. I'd go into a list but that's why I wrote a letter to Bethesda (that I haven't sent). I'm just here to say bring on the fifth, plx.

Ahhh that's such a great question.

When the core of the two come down to it, I had liked TES better, because the world was bigger and more complex. But the ideas and story of Fallout were much better in my opinion. So basically, because of Bethesdas skill and new developers, the size and quality of both could pretty much be equal. And since I liked the actual core of Fallout more, I'm going to have to go with Fallout.
