I still say Fallout: Japan.

Imagine all the cool toys you could get! Think a pilotable Liberty Prime, except there are thousands of them. With laser katanas.

Of course, I really want it for this:

...Japanese. Power. Armor.

It would be fun having the last boss being a horribly mutated Ian Paisley though.
He can never die!!
But you wouldn't have to kill him, just neutralise his powers with a majority assembly!

When you think about it, Fallout 3 would be awesome no matter where you put it. London would certainly be interesting, just to see how the other parts of the world were effected by the...well...end. Another good place would be China or Japan.

Sounds good. And after that, why not make Fallout: Toscana and Fallout: Gothenburg?
Hey, don't mock Gothenburg. We made your music, still i hate it. But it's motivated.
Sigh. My sarcasm meter needs some batteries.

Meh, Hellgate London was rather boring and a fallout set in it's universe would not be the same thing as usa. Thus somewhere in between, like Sweden of Africa would be interesting.
Sweden is not an exciting place has low population density and its mainly country side how would make good game.
Because Sweden was located in the exact middle of the conflicts, nor close to china or Usa and Sweden was on of the worlds wealthiest nations after ww2. So if we follow the fallout time line Sweden should have been one of the greater commonwealths.
Yer and doesn't have much character or many people or town or cities it would me a game with just masses of country side with odd bit of blandness. I not trying to say Sweden is a bad place its quite nice just saying wouldn't make a good setting.

Nah. The Fallout mythos is suffused with that weird cold-war paranoia and consumerism. Americana. Whatever.
That's what sets it apart. I don't think it would work in London.

We had that in England as well it was just different to American culture there still was great dislike for the whole communist movement and the paranoia of them having nuclear weapons. And the whole thing of east Germany as well. I regards a well landmarked not communist bloc European country could be interesting.

You know, I was actually serious. I love Gothenburg (mostly because I live there), I love Toscana (best vacation ever), and I think it would be awesome to be in a virtual post-apocalypse version of those cities (rather than some place in the US that's already been featured in seven FPS's).

Playing in London Fallout 3 style would be great. So far, I can think of many things that would be great.

pro: countless land marks (London eye, for one)
pro: a clean slate. The brother hood and the enclave would not have to be in the game. Things in England will have mutated differently, so no more super mutans.
pro: new story with new groups with new point of views and strugles.

What do you think? I personaly am not british, but my father is and still has a thivk accent. I have been there many times and would greatly enjoy going through the palace with my combat shotgun blwing off heads of britich raiders.
Firstly, welcome to the Escapist!
OT: I think there are cooler places for a new Fallout.

Atcually, if we think about what kind of feel a Fallout-universe England would be, it could be interesting. I mean, remember how the US was frozen in a perpetual 1950's Nuclear Age fantasy? Imagine a futuristic London that was still like it was in the 1950's! Plus, to be honest, I wanna see mutants with Cockney accent

Would be awesome as hell sitting in Balder gunning down super mutants in Lisseberg XD
