Fallout: Arizona

Start in the south/Center. Opening town of Tombstone. Recreate the gunfight at the OK Corral for a tutorial. Tuscon and Phoenix provide nice big cities. The Sonoran Desert is a nice "Capital Wasteland" kind of area. Giant Mutant Rattlesnakes. Living Saguaro Cacti. During the game you climb up the Mogollan Rim, where you encounter pine trees and broken ski resorts in the snowbowl (They could even recreate Oblivion's Dive Rock on Mt. Humphry) Pass Meteor Crater and fight aliens. Then, keep going north until you reach the end of the game...a giant battle around and inside the GRAND CANYON.

At some point you could go northwest to Lake Havasu City and see London Bridge. Or go northeast and see Monument Valley or something.

I see 2 potential problems:
1) I believe the first 2 fallout games were set in the southwest (was Arizona included?)
2)If you go due east or due west of Phoenix, there is NOTHING TO SEE.

No... the vault network needed to produce its own oxygen system, reproduce food for 100 odd years
You wouldn't have to stay in for so long, Vault City was built round Vault 8 after it opened 2091, and the war was in 2077.
Yes, there was a Vault meant to actually rebuild. Most of the Vaults are not supposed to open for a long period, not to mention some havnt even opened yet / never meant to open at all 200+ years later. Vault City was one of the rare GECK vaults which could actually deal with the surrounding radiation (the rest would die on exiting or suffer Necropolis liek effects).

So what is there stopping it being done in Europe?

Fallout: Ireland. Most of it's already a desolate wasteland (ba-dum-tish)

But yeah, it would be fun to change from dandy American 50's to swinging London 60's.
I'm all for it as long as absolutely EVERYONE has a stereotypical Irish accent.

That sounds like agreat idea actually, although to be blunt Fallout set in any city with world famous landmarks would be awesome.

How about a research station at the top of the Eiffel tower, or defending the Reighstag from an Enclave advance force, or clearing the Sagrada Familia's catacombs of mutants, or, or (head 'splodes).

Yes I think it's a good idea.

That game would suck, you'd never get anywhere for all the craic-heads...
It would be fun having the last boss being a horribly mutated Ian Paisley though.
He can never die!!
No he can die but he'll never surrender :) And I think hes already a bit mutated, maybe a Paisly/ Adams hybrid like Harold the tree would be more interesting.

No, Fallout is only going to be in America. There's a lot to explore and it will never end. There's too much lore for it to change countries.

Yer and doesn't have much character or many people or town or cities it would me a game with just masses of country side with odd bit of blandness. I not trying to say Sweden is a bad place its quite nice just saying wouldn't make a good setting.
i lol'd, so you actually think Sweden is nothing more that a large patch of countryside?
Imagine running and gunning there
London has bigger population than the whole country it has quite a low population density

Meh, Hellgate London was rather boring and a fallout set in it's universe would not be the same thing as usa. Thus somewhere in between, like Sweden of Africa would be interesting.
Sweden is not an exciting place has low population density and its mainly country side how would make good game.
You don't truly think there are no unexciting, unpopulated areas in the US do you? Also, I could be wrong, but I think there are cities in Sweden.

You could basically have a fallout game in any fairly cosmopolitan city in the world.
merely pointing out the that Sweden's population is about 9 million pretty small since the number people in just London's is 14 million (also London is quite culturally diverse).

I think that Fallout:Canada of some variation would be a good idea. It is in the fallout universe that Canada was annexed.

Also you could have areas untouched by radiation leading into bombed areas along a set of highways or connecting cities.

As for new enemies there would be a Canadian remnant resistance or something similar plus I think that mutated beavers and moose would make interesting enemies.

Exuse me if Im wrong due to the fact that I alwayss nearly fail geography but I dont quite think it would work due to the lack of common land marks and distinct land scapes compared to fallout 3.

I think Fallout: London could only work if in the Fallout Universe Vault-Tec are an international corporation - or if there was a British equivalent. But I do think that the London backdrop would be great for a post-apocalyptic game. I know people are saying that Hellgate London was a bit pap but Fallout would be different

Doesn't fallout satirize American culture? Aside from that, sure, why not have a localized version of Fallout for our English friends. On a different note, how are there any more landmarks in England then in the US? On top of that clean slating the series can be accomplished anywhere. Still, A new location would be interesting.
