All of the dlcs were "bonerific" (pardon my French)...except for Honest Hearts. Yeah it was pretty and all and I got a kick from hunting geckos, but it simply didn't leave me satisfied. Compare that to the Ulysses story arc, beginning with the heist of the impenetrable Sierra Madre to the zany Big MT to the ash of the Divide, and Honest Hearts gets blown out of the water and into the stratosphere.
Speaking of Lonesome Road, goddamn was it awesome. I'm in the minority here, but I really liked this linear structure of the dlc. You are here for one thing and one thing only - to hunt Ulysses down; not to rummage around a large area like Big MT. I'm not saying that the whole game should be like this, but, here, a linear environment just...fits.
Atmosphere. Atmosphere. Atmosphere. Walking around the ruins of "America's last chance of making a true comeback", fighting off radioactive monstrosities, and that minute where you actually enter the Divide after fighting of the tunneler hoards and see how fucked up this place really is was simply awe inspiring. I may sound like I'm riding Obsidian's dick right now, but I have to give credit where credit is due. This is why New Vegas sits at the top of my personal "Greatest Games of All Time" list - Obsidian knows what it's doing and is loving it. I will be very disappointed if Obsidian doesn't play some kind of role in Fallout 4.
