Poll: Fallout vs TES

I Go with Fallout ,Because the fallout world is amazing ,also because the SPECIAL systems perks and skills is absolutly perfect for that sandbox Rpg .

I can't really place one above the other, because my rankings would look like this:

1. Morrowind
2. Fallout 2
3. Fallout
4. Skyrim
5. Fallout: New Vegas
6. Fallout 3
7. Oblivion

(Haven't played the earlier Elder Scrolls games)


They both have a solid presence amongst my favourite games.

Fallout, easily. I've just grown very, very bored of "sword and sorcery" style fantasy.

Probably both. But I've only played Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and Skyrim (though from what I've seen/heard the other TES games weren't that interesting to me). I have to say I like Fallout 3 a little bit more though because of the utter viscerality and improbability of it. Case in point, I shoot a man with a pistol from the hill a good bit away in the leg and his head pops off. Also the tundra-tundra plains-tundra forest environment of skyrim bored me much quicker than the Mojave or D.C. Now if they were to make a TES 6: Elyswr/Hammerfall....

Bethesda's games just never work properly for me. But Fallout had 1 and 2 which worked fine.

The stories in both aren't amazing, the story is usually shallow

I hope your only talking about Fallout 3 there. My vote goes to Fallout

Fallout as New Vegas + it's DLC's had some fantastic writing and characters. Plus there is at minimum two good fallout games and Skyrim is the only good ES game

Well I like them both for separate reasons, but they both share a bunch of same reasons for their shoddy quality.

I definitely prefer the world of Fallout to TES, but I still chose TES because I hate how combat works in Fallout.

When I shoot a guy in the chest from fifty meters with a .308, .338 or .50, then he should be dead.
In Fallout, you can never be certain that he will be.

My wet dream for a game would definitely be a Stalker/Fallout combo though.

Elder scrolls wins, but only because I've played Skyrim and now the last two Fallout games feel a bit underdeveloped; a lot of the features I saw in Skyrim made me imagine analogues that would appeal to me in a Fallout game. Fallout's combat system, though fun, is a bit crude I think. Not to say its bad, heck 3 and New Vegas are two of my favourite games, its just I prefer the Elder scrolls series more.

Everyone shuns Fallout because of bugs, but having put a decent 80+ hours into Fallout 3 and New Vegas individually... I never had a bug, glitch, corrupt save etc. But my vote went to both, as I enjoy TES and Fallout for both of their unique settings

Fallout. No matter how many people will tell me that TES is better, My heart will always belong to fallout.

Played Fallout first, never could quite get into TES. Something about Oblivion and Skyrim puts me off but I cant quite put my finger on it(Cant speak for any other TES game).

I could play Fallout 3,NV 8+ hours easily, but with Oblivion/Skyrim, I'd be lucky if I could bring myself to manage 2+ hours.
