The argument I had with the guy named after a funny flash cartoon was trying tell me to convey my argument in a more friendly manner towards the franchise, I told him many times it's not going to happen. Then he tried to tell me it's not allowed but that's a load of crap. I've been attacking franchises in a aggresive manor ever since I came to the Escapist but only in threads based on that. You've seen threads like 'what game do you hate?' and others that are similiar, all about bashing stuff but they never get locked do they? I didn't say 'all fans are stupid for liking the franchise', just agreed with the OP and that's it.

Then Blue Clues started repeating himself so I got down to the nitty gritty and he still repeated himself, like the more he says it the more chance I'm going to give in. The whole thing is stupid anyway, I feel like I'm defending my right to free speech which is rediculous. So in the end it was really just a battle for the last word.

Let me say this again, it's just a game/thread, there is no need to get annoyed over someone elses opinion of it because it doesn't matter in the end. Is my opinion stopping you from having fun with the games? Well, is it? If it is then you must be pretty insecure with your own opinion.

I never meant to hurt anyones feelings, that was not my aim. If I am quoted to be insulted, threatened or told of, then I am going to use it against them because I hate being attacked and I will defend my ground.

We are fine he has his own opinion, but their was NO REASON to start this thread when it has been DONE BEFORE hundreds of times. If he wanted to express his opinion, why couldn't he have posted in that instead of starting a thread where arguments like this will happen?

And acctualy i don't call "everyone" a troll, the only times i have is on this thread and even then that was twice =S

Really i do hate arguments (I'm acctualy sick to death of them) but like you i also defend my ground, and calling me a troll is obviously going to get a response. If i was a troll, i would admit it like they all do, i however, don't because i know i am not one. Hell check through my other posts if you don't believe me!

No I can read just fine. I remember you didn't like the OPs first comment but that doesn't matter anymore.

The last thread similiar to this was on the 30th of May (that I could find). That's awhile a go considering that the new designs were just revealed recently. And it's better to start a new thread because most people only read up to the first 2 pages, so he wants it to be fresh.

If it was too early it would've been locked, happens all the time because most people can't be bothered searching. Did you report him at least?

No offense, but you need to relax, friend. I've been reading a lot of the comments between you two, and imo, the only one acting "like a troll" is you, really. The guy has been patient enough to read your posts and provide constructive counter arguments, and you just brush his posts off and call him a troll and basically say "im right and you're wrong" not cool, man. Not cool.

He made no constructive counter argument, just repeated himself and frankly I was sick of it.

He was actually saying to express your opinion in a friendlier way towards other members, like members of the Escapist? There are rules for that, which I take is the point he was trying to make.

Personally, it just looks to me like a big misunderstanding and a whole lot of unnecessary anger/annoyance...from both parties involved xP

I just call them as I see 'em as well. I broke it down to him that I wasn't going to change my attitude and he still repeated himself like I was going to give in or something. In the end I just wanted to point out it was silly and it was a battle for the last word.

I read some of his last post at least (the bigger one), and most of the time he is being a smart ass and half way through he called me a liar, I didn't go that far. Don't you think he is a bit of hypocrite thinking that would work?

Any way, I'm sure we're all sick of this argument, I know I am. =P

This pretty much sums up everything I have left to say on the matter. I was saying one thing, and he was missing my point and getting offended. I tried to clarify, he accused me of repetition and acting like his parent. I attempted to use the same mannerisms he uses with responses to try and give him an idea of how he comes off to others, and he calls me a troll (which, to be honest, I found humourously ironic).

Anyway, I'm done with the matter. I've already wished him his luck on the Escapist, the day that he goes too far and offends someone on these forums with his "aggression" to the point that mod wrath is brought down, I'd hate to be the one that said "I told you so".

...Oh, and for the record, I called the guy a liar because he claimed that he wasn't getting offended. Meanwhile he's complaining about me trying to parent him online and then he calls me a troll...but he wasn't offended. Really?
