I would have to say EA Games. They were the makers of one of my fave all time game series. I'm quite suprised for the low votes for EA considering how poular the C&C series and Need For Speed series are.

I didn't phrase that very well; I know they arn't Microsoft games studios, but those games I particularly enjoy from those developers are exclusive to their system (Fable II, Lost Odyssey and Gears of War) and Microsoft published them - as a result my vote would still be Microsoft.

I don't know how you can sit there and say that Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Rainbow Six and Beyond Good and Evil are "rubbish". Also, arguably, Far Cry and Ghost Recon.

I'd have to say Microsoft but only because you haven't given me the option to say Bungie, or Bioware, or 2K, or Bethesda or Valve or Epic or any other game companies I actually like.

That's why I gave you the option of saying "Other". I don't like any of those game publishers either, I just put them there because they're the most popular.

Agreed. And THQ - made all of my favorite games.. and Ubisoft for having a pair of knackers putting their name and money behind several brand spanking new IP's in an era of sequels. E.g. Assassins Creed, Dark Messiah, Beyond Good & Evil, and revised Prinve of Persia.. Twice.

I personally have yet to play a game from nintendo that isn't extremely well developed, they take their time and it shows by the quality.

Here, try this. Its called Wii Music.

I'm pleased to see that there is no Activision up there, but I must say I'm slightly weirded out that there's no Take 2, Capcom, Konami or Sega.

Take 2 - Only one game I really enjoy - Bioshock
Capcom - Nothing that's really my cup of tea
Konami - Metal Gear Meh
Sega - ... Really? And you cite Wii Music as Nintendo's attrocities, let's not list Sega's.

I wonder if we'll ever have one of these threads that doesn't involve everyone getting confused about the difference between publisher and developer.

That's wishful thinking there - only way is to Educate through these threads, repeating yourself over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

And I will never buy a game by South Peak ever again. Two Worlds left a nasty taste in my mouth.

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but when you portray yourself as highly knowledgeable, even saying you work for a retailer, so you are well educated on the subject, you damn well better have your facts straight.

Don't get me wrong, Ubisoft have had a couple of hits. But how can you tell me that Imagine Babies, Imagine Doctor, Imagine Teacher, Imagine Pet Vet, Imagine Gymnast, Imagine Fashion Designer, Rayman Rayman Rabbits / 2 / TV party, LOST, the "PETZ" series are Ubisoft not just churning out rubbish? They even bought Tom Clancys' name to slap across H.A.W.X to get it to sell.

You make a fair point, I picked a developer, not a publisher, my bad. But KOTOR was piblished by Lucas Arts and Mass Effect by Microsoft, so my point for EA can still stand?? kkthx.

The only EA game I like is The Sims, it's my little addiction.
