Eh, it changes. On a female, I like either natural long hair or short dyed hair (the sort of rebel look).

Anything but bald; regardless of gender. Also, guys with long hair are not my thing. No big loss, though, since they're generally metalheads and I've known enough of those throughout my life.
For some reason, and I've never been able to place why, I've ALWAYS had a thing for guys with long-hair and that entire metal look, really.
Don't ask me why because I'm not even remotely involved in that scene myself but I've always preferred it to an average looking guy.
Short hair is good too though, provided there's some sort of metal fan-dom going on.

I feel like the guys need grouped differently. On guys, I would out shoulder with long, because that is pretty long for a guy.
And personally I like "long" as in a few inches. Really short hair just doesnt do it for me.

Honestly on girls, I could go for any hair length. It depends on what the girl looks best with. Hell, I'd even like a bald girl if it looked good on her.
I like really long, straight hair on a girl. I mean REALLY long. Ideal would be waist-length or longer, although I've heard that hair that long can really get in the way...

I prefer short (not too short to the point that it look like a male haircut) to sholder length hair on girls. I dislike long hair since I learnt from experience never to be near girls with long hair (sometime when they turn her head, her long hair will hit me in the face if I am that close to her).
No preference, girls. I think any length of hair can look great on a girl, it just depends on the skill of the stylist, and to a certain extent the girl's own acceptance of what she can and can't pull off. Some chicks can even pull off bald.
As a personal preference, long hair (on a girl). For the purposes of caressing (regardless of context). Problem?
