Hmm...a tough choice, especially for someone who cooks for a living. I can't stand the taste of sheep, goat, or their milk though.

I HAVE to put something on steaks. I've tried so many different cuts cooked in different ways by different people & I can barely taste it on it's own with salt, so I mix it into things. It's rather boring just grilled.

I moved states 10 years ago to some place where fish was affordable. It was outrageously expensive where I grew up, so I probably eat that more than any other meat.

*Rabbit with preserved lemon.
*Roast duck.
*Foil-baked salmon in honey, ginger, soy sauce, lemon, orange, garlic, & sherry; cuts down on the gaminess & has an incredibly pleasant mouth feel. (This is the ONLY way I can stand the taste of salmon).
*Chicken parmesan.
*Swedish meatballs.
*Buffalo burgers.
*Hungarian goulash can be made with any cut of steak. It's tender & falls apart in your mouth.
*Beef or pork loin cut & rolled with basil, spinach, feta, & apricots.
*Turkey or Cornish game Hen in gravy or cold in a salad with craisins.
*Chicken-fried quail with biscuits & country gravy,
*Parmesan breaded chicken-fried cubed pork.
*Teriyaki chicken wings & thighs.
*Chowder with clams, scallops, shrimp, & squid rings.
*Teriyaki eel sushi, mackerel sushi, yellowfin sushi.
*Kippers.
*House fried rice.
*8 Angels Thai food.
*Savort pork Wonton or sweet pork Bao.
*Homemade tacos.
*Stuff: Steak mixed with fried eggs & roast potatoes. Only dish in the world where it's okay to put ketchup on eggs.
*Corned beef.

Any of the above?

I'm pretty omnivorous. It all tastes good to me.

So I'll just throw out a recommendation for lobster. Ugly, but oh so very tasty.

Genuinely surprised that chicken isn't in first place. Not because it's the best, it just seems to be the most popular whenever I talk to people about food.

I'll throw my hat in for beef. I mostly eat pork, because it's cheaper, but damn, do I love me a proper steak or beef burger.

All the meat![footnote]And all the fish! And all the fruit & veggies![/footnote] (The sozzies in that image look a bit dodgy though.)

My vote's with lamb, although it does feel like a disservice to the other flesh that I have not picked it instead.

Chicken. It's easy to cook, tastes great, and pairs well with just about everything. You can do almost anything with chicken.

Close second is pork. Love me some pork. Especially a mouth-watering ham roast. And bacon. Can't forget bacon.

Though, to be honest, I haven't really tried many different types of meat before. Chicken, pork, and beef are just about it for me. I've never tried any other bovine or fowl, never had rabbit, or sheep, or lamb, or any of the other semi-popular meats. And I'm really not a big fan of seafood. There's a few things I'll eat, like clam and crab cakes, and there's this one place in my city that makes absolutely delicious fried fish, but for the most part, I don't like seafood.

If I could only eat 1 type of meat for the rest of my life, it would have to be chicken.
Pretty much every dish that has meat in it also works with chicken.

Hm, best thing i ate was, i think, young bull. So it was beef.

But there are so many animals left to taste. Who knows.

Fish. Salmon is delicious. Smoked salmon is easily my favorite food. Living in the Pacific Northwest makes that particular preference fairly easily satiated.

Not a lot of people like seafood apparently, which is kind of distressing to me. I can understand if it makes you vomit and thusly offers no nourishment. Other than that, it's a pretty easy thing to eat and is (generally) naturally salty. Humans love salty things. Everything is overly salty. From popcorn to potato chips, to meat seasonings and scrambled eggs. I mean, what the fuck? Why do people put salt in scrambled eggs, or eggs in general? You have to add a pretty significant amount to make a detectable difference anyway. Stop bullshitting and just eat the eggs.

I love seafood. Halibut, prawn, scallops, mussels, crab, tuna, squid, whatever. The nice thing about most seafood is that it's comparatively gentle on your stomach when eaten raw, and also doesn't come with an overwhelming taste of iron.

Big fan of sushi and sashimi as well. I used to eat dried seaweed (nori) all the time as a kid, when I was too impatient to wait on the rice.

Generally speaking, I don't care what meat I consume. Especially if it's being made for me by another person. If it sustains my life, what kind it is doesn't matter.

It's hard to choose! >.<

It's all good in some way. I voted chicken, but I like beef just as much I suppose.

Dammit, that almost made me want to change my answer! But then I remembered why pork is my answer.

I'm a fan of vegetarian meat.

Not tofu or whatever, but actual vegetarians.
Taste great with barbeque sauce.

IF cannibalism is off the table, i'm going with beef. Damn it i'm hungry now...

Aaahhh salty pork and apple sauuuceeee, now I'm hungry. While pork is my number 1 choice of animal to eat, i'm also partial to lamb, providing theres some mint sauce o' course.

Beef, definitely beef. I love me some steak, burger and other cow related meals!
