Garrus, because he was the only character who I felt really addressed the core renegade-vs-paragon theme of the game. Plus, I thought all the turians looked cool, so that probably helped.
I know, thats why I said "she's a futuristic version modern day racist."Wardog13 said:Are you referring to the conversation that she used the bear and dog analogy? Yeah, that was referring to the alien governments, which is basically the same thing we do today with other nations.Jonesy911 said:You can have a conversation with her near the end of the game where she essentially tells Sheperd that aliens cannot be trusted and have some hidden agenda against humans, which according to her is reason enough to be scared of all other species because "Humans were created in gods image", she's a futuristic version modern day racist.orannis62 said:I don't really think so. I don't recall her ever giving the impression that she thought aliens were inferior, just that humans shouldn't rely on them. Racist undertones? Fuck yes. Do I think that she's ready to start an alien holocaust? Fuck no. Besides, I got the impression that she was trying to get over her preconceived notions, and that her feelings were really mostly due to resentment over her Grandfather's position.KAPTAINmORGANnWo4life said:Well, she does harbour the "Humans are the chosen race of God." belief quite a bit, even willingly murdering a teammate who, depending on how you play, has saved her ass more times than you could remember.
She's not really a "Crazy religious *****", more like a "Crazy, religious, *****."
As for the Wrex thing, that would be under Shepard's orders, not of her own accord.
You would think in a future where they already have fully synthetic lifeforms they could reinforce damaged limbs with robotics or something.Mistermixmaster said:Garrus wins in my book, he's a renegade cop, so you can bet that Garrus is going to be co-starring with Steven Seagal in a movie or two in the future. Oh, and the scouter is nice =P
But personally, I wish Joker could have joined in on a mission or two... (damn Vroliks syndrome, wrecking my game >_>)
Littlee300 said:Pretty funny how you guys focus so much on it, like some detectives and this is real life or something...KAPTAINmORGANnWo4life said:Well, there are other lines that lead to that where Shepard doesn't signal, and shows it.Wardog13 said:Amnestic said:Don't remember the cutscene, but I'm fairly sure my Shepard never ordered anyone to shoot Wrex.
She was signaled to.
Plus, what kind of trained soldier just protecting her peer would shoot a downed "adversary" repeatedly until he stopped moving. She didn't even go for a drop-shot to take him into custody, no she hamstrings him and then probably pulls a Randy Orton on him!
(Pulling a Randy Orton: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Klokn44VpRM] IE, a slow, painful beating/shooting followed up with a head-shot and unnecessary posturing)
Either way i get all of your points
What? Yes you can, she comes with both Electronics and Decryption. She can open everything.FallenJellyDoughnut said:you can't make her open locked boxes for you so what use is she other than a human shield with a shitty pistol/shotgun?
But... Redundant organs... You learn in game that they have four testicles, what else do they double up on?technoted said:wrex was awesome, if only he could have been my romance choice, then and only then would i have been happy
Trust me, they're not redundant. Could always invite Liara to join you if you feel he's not being...used...properly.Souplex said:But... Redundant organs... I meant redundant in the fact that they have a backup of everything, two hearts, two livers, two nervous systems, and yes, four testicles.Amnestic said:Trust me, they're not redundant. How is that? The US would do the same to the UK and vise-versa, its not the fact that they are aliens, its more about how they are the equivalent to different countries today, the same way you wouldn't bet it all another country wont back stab you today.Jonesy911 said:I know, thats why I said "she's a futuristic version modern day racist."
A face would be nice. /jk I really did like Tali, except that quarian armour is so hard to find, that's what makes her so squishy. Once I got her Colossus X from the dlc mission she became much better. Tali + Liara + Soldier Shepard = perfect team.Nmil-ek said:For me Tali, knows her way around machines, shotgun, hot accent what more do you need.
A good explanation for why she is easy to romance is that she has been in your head. Twice. That is like having a million conversations.B4D 9R4MM3R said:I don't really like Liara. She seems too easy to romance, has the worst (in my opinion) character development and her voice seems to annoy me.
