Poll: Favorite pony!

That distribution is not at all what I was expecting.

I thought everyone would just say Rainbow Dash.

Fool, Fluttershy always wins these polls. I haven't seen her lose out of four of these on the escapist. You just physically cannot hate Fluttershy.

I hadn't seen the results of any of the other polls. I knew that Twilight Sparkle (clearly the superior pony) wouldn't win, but I really expected the general "coolness" of Rainbow Dash to win out.

Honestly, seeing Flutteryshy win out changes my view of the Escapist community a little (positively).

And I really didn't expect Pinkie Pie to be so high up. Though in hindsight, that one isn't quite as surprising.

See, Twilight is my favourite but considering Rainbow Dash is fun.

Think of the following: a cutie mark represents a ponies main talent in life and normally comes with some sort of amazing epiphany. When Rainbow Dash got her cutie mark, she simultaneously gave five others theirs as well. This gets really fun if you take gaining a cutie mark as a metaphor for puberty.

It's not that great of a metaphor considering you don't find your life's goal or what you'll be good at during puberty, usually.

Oh I know, the metaphor only really works in the first CMC episode when Apple Bloom is getting bullied for not having a cutie mark yet. Other than that it doesn't work at all, but in my mind it's worth twisting it a bit just so we can give Rainbow Dash the title of Puberty Unleasher.
