Anyway, out of those guys, Young Link. His boomerang is really versatile, his grabs combo well, and his down smash is one of the best edgeguarding moves because it sends them out horizontally. If you can time it right, they arn't coming back.
And its awesome to see people still play Melee! I thought it'd all been smothered by Brawl.
Me and my mate are kind of SSBM nerds, learning the pro tactics like wavedashing and ledge moves. Still, we couldn't even nearly compare to some of the pros on youtube..

hmmmmmm link is the best in terms of battling well at least he was in melee but in brawl he more balanced which is good but I liked lucario the best in terms of style.
Unfortunately, in Melee there are only about 5-7 characters worth playing as and the rest are junk.
Like Falco, in Melee Falco was just incredible. His speed and power dominated everyone. But it brawl, they took out his karate kick smash and his air kicks (Which could do almost 30 damage in one hit) for much more balanced attacks. C. Falcon's knee is another thing. In Brawl, they fixed it and made it much harder. But in melee, the timing window for the special lightning knee was amazingly generous and it hit almost every time with no effort. Also, it was much easier to glide in the air with the falcon punch and cover a big distance while winding it up. The only other characters that even worth looking at are Marth, Fox, Link, and maybe Luigi and Roy.
I don't get why everyone hates Brawl and likes Melee better when Melee really only has a few characters in the whole game while Brawl is way more balanced and fair.
