SPOILERS FOR STANLEY PARABLE.
DUH.
So, the remake of the Stanley Parable was fantastic. It expanded on the concept of the original, while also providing many new endings that fit perfectly. Each ending is great in its own way, but which is your favorite? Here's my Top 3:
3. Detonation Ending.
The core of this ending is unchanged from the original: Stanley turns the machine on instead of off, Narrator gets angry, standard high-stakes countdown as threaded through the Kobiashi Maru, happily ever af-. But the thing is, even after multiple replays, I still find myself clicking on everything in the room, hoping there's something I missed that would save me, even though that's the point. After all, there's just so many things to try!
Not to mention, this is the ending a lot of people try second, right after the Freedom ending, and it truly demonstrates how the Stanley Parable is different from the norm. This ending does exactly what it has to.
2. Confusion Ending.
Another prime example of subtext threaded into what at first seems like total anarchy, my first playthrough of this ending was just a mindfuck. I never knew just what to expect, and the Narrator's lines added to the hilarity. But after a few plays, I started listening to how the Narrator acted, and I saw what set this ending apart, what unique picture it painted: The Narrator is in the same boat as Stanley. Increasingly unnerved by the game's unpredictability, he eventually discovers that it's all just scripted, that the game's story isn't in his control. He even tries to make a choice of his own, only to realize that it, too, means nothing. He undergoes the same arc that you, Stanley, succumb to. The saddest part of it is, the ending occurs even when he refuses to comply, and he later forgets about it all as the game restarts. This goes along with what the second Narrator establishes in the Escape ending - that he's as controlled by the game as Stanley is. Truly thought-provoking.
1. Broom Closet Ending.
Obvious reasons.
(Note: There wasn't enough room in the options for all the endings. And really, who would've voted for the Stay In The Office ending, anyway?)

BONUS: Did you find heaven? And was it all you had dreamed of?

Possibly the museum ending. Sudden narrator change ftw.

I do love how the freedom ending played out, though. The ending where you do exactly as you're told, being completely obedient, is the one where you're told Stanley achieves his freedom. Even going so far as to take away the controls from you right when you step outside.

I think part of the bite of the original was lost in some of the endings that were redone. The older explosion ending is almost infinitely superior. It seemed like the nature of the game being one that was short and had voicework that had a more neutral tone benefited it well. Very direct language that was simple and witty, too.

I don't hate the new Stanley, especially when it comes to the new content, but when it comes to the older stuff, "Don't fix what isn't broken," comes to mind. So my favorite has to be the confusion ending. It's new, it was original, and it kicked ass.

I personally liked the whiteboard ending. Or the true art ending, which you achieve by playing the baby game for four hours.

Broom closet ending is the objectively correct choice.

Second would be the "True Art" ending where you play the narrator's GOTM 2000-3000 for 4 hours.

Of the serious endings, I'd go with the Freedom ending (that's the one where you unplug the phone, right?) since it felt like the "true" ending.

Nah, the freedom ending is the one where you follow the narration through to the end.

The broom closet ending was my favorite! Did you get it? I liked how it ended only when I wanted it to end. There was no pressure, only peace.

Dammit! Immediately clicked the option that said "Freedom" without noticing that "Blue Door" was right underneath it. That's the one I meant. To anyone who cares, mentally subtract one from the "Freedom" results and add it to "Blue Door".

There's something about the detonation ending that I love. It was the first ending I got when I first played the original version of the game and it's still so awesome. I think if there could only be one ending to the game I think it would be the one that would hold the most weight by itself.
