Rebel Assault II.
Even mentioning that sounds like an attempt to start an argument. Rail shooter over FMV background? You must be joking, surely? And with an avatar of one of the Dentons too.

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, I suppose...

Sorry I wasn't aware that answers were going to be vetted by you. I'll pass all my posts on the forums by you first so that you can check if you like them or not. Did you not see the topic title?
My apologies. I was trying to indicate that I was aware I was being an opinionated arse.
On a related note, did those stealth-TIEs ever appear in any other games?

Republic Commando, all day.

Seriously, it took the Jedi-centric Star Wars universe and made it into a military drama, and it was awesome.

Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy. I'm amazed you overlooked this series.

Is no one noticing I had no more room for it? D:
Maybe it's a series too conspicuous in its absence. FU is a joke in comparison.
The same goes for X-Wing series vs Starfighter. After playing XW:Alliance (with XWAUpdate addons) Starfighter is virtually insulting.
My apologies

Deal with it

Edit: No seriously though, apologies

Hey, no problem, there's no point being touchy when posting on a public forum *looks up*

Whatever it is that lets you set up polls should allow you to choose more than 8 answers though, it's a bit of a shortcoming.

Man, SW have had some great games! I also liked empire at war, that hasn't been mentioned yet.

Where are the Jedi Knight games :(

On the whole, I'd say KOTOR I suppose, but that's too easy of an answer considering what a solid rock that game is in the RPG genre. But for the followup, definitely Jedi Knight games and tbh, they're not too far off from KOTOR.

The thing about JK games is that that's as close as I ever came to feeling like I was playing a Jedi/Sith (Force/lightsaber user). KOTOR delivered a great story in an awesome game but the combat was pretty dreadful as it relied on queuing up the same attacks over and over again and relied way too much on the dice system, making it hard sometimes to see the difference between two attacks.

JK games had a bit of platforming (which for a third person game I find an absolutely amazingly fun feature as long as it's not forced or overdone), great lightsaber combat for the time it was made in (and made even better by a few mods) and fun Force powers that felt powerful but not overpowered. In contrast, I found TFU games absolutely awful. The telekinetics were done somewhat decently, but it felt way overpowered and lightsaber combat felt a lot more like mashing the one same button instead of working up different combos.

What I found to be most fun in JK games is the fact lightsaber hits do actually matter. You can pretty much die from 1-3 lightsaber slashes (depending on how much they cut you/if you have armor/Force protection/etc.), yet it doesn't leave the game feeling like one hitter crap. The fun part is dodging and using your lightsaber to actually try and intercept your opponent's because it actually leaves you feeling like you're in a lightsaber duel rather than a "who can smash the opponent x many times faster". The different lightsaber 'styles' were also awesome as it left you with both a choice of preferred style and it was quite often worth it to change the style mid-combat, especially in PvP.

I was also dissapointed that this wasn;t an option because it was an awesome RTS!

OT: I went for Battlefront because I spent many hours with friend playing that game. I could of, however chosen KOTOR.

Indecise with Republic Commando and Battlefront. Star Wars actually has some good games, I dont know why people always say that they suck. I just dont find fun to play as a Jedi since it usually doesnt work very well with bad controls and with the player being way to powerfull.

#1 jedi academy again.
and #2 lego star wars. for being decent.
battlefront is nice but not as nice.
i tried kotor 2 a few month ago but i couldn't get into it. maybe i'm too simple-minded.
republic commando was boring and didn't quite work on my pc and let's pretend the force unleashed never happened.
