First order of buesness, what's your favorite kind of zombie, voodoo? Deadite? Rage? T-virus?
personally i'm a fan of Rage, if only there was a better backstory on the virus.
Second, the new rising trend of fast zombies has been pushing away the classic slow zombie? Does this take or add from the suspense and fear? Which would you rather bash the head in of?

I think it's good to have both fast and slow zombies. The way i see it is that freshly made zombies should be fast but over time they should deteriorate and become slower and slower.

Slow moving zombie personally. Just scary as hell to see them slowly making their way towards you as you struggle to try and escape them.

I think a combination of the two would be nice, fast and weak zombies that distract the heroes while the slower and more powerful zombies arrive to put the test on each character's plot armor.

I think it would vary, depending on the condition of the body, the level of decomposition, etc...
Although if there were an actual zombie invasion, then I pick slow, easyer targets for my grandpas old M1 Garand :p

Actually that gives me an idea, also add what your weapon of choice would be and why.

Seriously, that thing is reliable, accurate, and because of the slow(ish) rate of fire, it makes you conserve ammo. As well as being good at long range, the thing could probably tear a zombie in half at close range.

Weapon choice has a few factors to it for me. If this happens and I am decent with weapons I'll go ahead and say a sub-machine gun for the open, lots of bullets and decent range.
Shotgun close range, that was obvious.
And maybe a pistol for that just in case. Also, if you've seen 28 Weeks Later, I'd love to pull off that pistol head shot that chick did against the infected guard. (Head explosions rock)

If untrained, shotgun and pistol. Both seem relatively simple to use, though the recoil on the shotgun may make it useless in my hands.

Depend on the kind of shotgun. A 12Guage hurts like hell after around 20 rounds.
And how the hell are you planning on transporting these things. Seriously, a shotgun alone is heavy enough, but a pistol and SMG along with it. Not practical, unless you camp in a mall or something... Dawn of the Dead FTW.

Hmm generally, but a general pistol and a shotgun are very, very loud. And after the initial riots, zombie apocalypses are generally quite so firing one of these would get the attention of every flesh eater in a mile... sorry i've read the zombie survival guide a few to many times...

Still no match for, again, the good old M1. I don't care if I attract every flesh eater in a 100 mile radius. With enough ammo, every one is as good as dead. Besides, if I needed to, i could just throw a silencer on it, it isn't too hard to modify.

Not so much a zombie as it is Ms. Frankenstein. All she is missing are the bolts out the neck.

Well, it's still techically the living dead, being as it's reanimated dead flesh... which is what most zombies are...
