Poll: favourite game genre of all time

Lately, I'd say I'd definitely have to go with shooter. As much as I love RPG's, and grew up on all the classics... Therese just a sort of feel-good emotion you get from FPS that RPG's just don't provide...

That point where there's nothing to prove but your skill vs. everyone else s lack thereof, and you go through the adrenaline filled blaze of glory.

Yeah.... that feeling.

No doubts rpg, if its a good one it'll have a bit of something for everyone, immersion, good story and gameplay, character decisions and customisation, development, tension, intrigue, action + adventure, need I say more?

While I like to play al sorts of games, to me, RPG's are my favorite.

It's a tie between RPG, RTS, Racing or Shooter, I play Beat'em'ups and I really enjoyed Castle Crashers and Street fighter IV.(If that counts) but I just don't play them as much as the other genres I picked, maybe RPG moreso, since I'm practically inlove with MMOs.Civilization games though, fantastic. I'm really enjoying the tales series too. Ontop of that MW2 looks absolutely fantastic.

No Horror and Adventure though, I scare -way- too easy to play them, I can play Bioshock fine, but I just can't bring myself to complete dead space. (Yeah I'm pretty much a chickenshit.)

Well mine isn't their being Simulation.

On that Only one Civil Simulation game (Rail works)
And my main fav being Combat Flight Simulators but have to be realistic (IL 2 Sturmovik)

Civil flight sim's are ok, but for me drag on. i can just manage to fly a Eurofighter From Heathrow to Edinburgh.

Hybrids. Specifically, shooter/RPG hybrids, though any good hybrid is fun.
