With Skyfall coming out soon I thought now would be a fair time to ask which Bond was your personal favourite.

I haven't included David Niven in the Poll so...sorry those who wanted to vote for him.

Personally I like Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. I like Brosnan's humour as Bond, and I'm probably turned more towards him since he's the Bond I grew up with. But recently I'm really liking Daniel Craig's rough, serious Bond, his action sequences aren't too over the top, but I do miss the smart comments and tech Bond usually has, hopefully we'll see more in Skyfall.

(also a quick mention of Timothy Dalton, he's awesome)

So then, who is your favourite?

Daniel Craig's.

I'm enjoying the direction that his interpretation of the character is heading, even if it's not necessarily because of his job. And Casino Royale might just be the best Bond flick ever.

Needless to say, I'm pumped for Skyfall.

I thought Pierce Brosnan was great and a return to the more serious, hard edged Bond instead of the oft silly Roger Moore Bond. Unfortunately, as the movies went on, Brosnan's Bond kind of started to mirror Moore's. He is still my favorite for Goldeneye alone. Here's hoping Craig stays badass and doesn't stray into goofy.

The only movie I'm pumped for coming out this year, is Skyfall.

And I'm not even a fan of James Bond.

Make of that what you will, but damn is Daniel Craig awesomeness. @.@

To be fair I love Goldeneye mainly because of Sean Bean. And yeah Roger Moore was REALLY comical, I didn't mind that too much, just didn't like it quite as much as the more serious Bonds.

I agree about Casino Royale, that movie was freaking awesome, great way to introduce a new bond.

Also I've got a lot of Sean Connery votes here but it seems all the Connery fans are too shy to comment, how odd.

Well Sean Connery is the quintessential James Bond but you are asking for my favourite which is Pierce Brosnan. Daniel Craig is great but he could stand to change from his cold, icy stare once in a while even if his Bond character is supposed to be grittier.

Sean Connery. So much Sean Connery.

Second place is Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton.

Honourable Mention to George Lazenby for that last scene in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Yeah. You know the one.

I always prefer Sean Connery as James Bond as he has a certain charm when he played as him back in his youth.

Seeing as I've not had much experience in other bonds, Pierce Brosnan aside, Daniel Craig is my go to Bond.

Casino Royale was the shizzle yo.

Well yeah, the Bean man is like bacon. You add him to anything and it becomes infinitely better. It was also really cool to see a 00# agent go up against another 00# agent, and Bean of course killed as an agent. Best lines in the movie.

Alec: Why can't you just be a good boy and die?
Bond: You first.

or

Alec: For England James?
Bond: No, for me.

Perfect deliveries by both men. Damn, I think I need to go watch it again.

Roger Moore for me.
The guy had some serious class and a voice like velvet. His Bond films were quite cheesy and aimed for children but they had such charm!

I'd enjoy Roger Moore over any other Bond (except Pierce Brosnan.. I do just like 'watching' him) any day.

Timothy Dalton would be my favourite. The Living Daylights is a completely brilliantly outstanding film and Timothy's acting in both films are superb. Sean Connery would be the close second, I suppose.

It's a toss-up between Brosnan and Connery. Both epitomise the suave yet deadly nature of the character, which for me is a key part of a good Bond actor. It's also why I enjoy Moore's Bond because he tried admirably to hit that (although he ultimately wasn't brilliant) and it's why Lazenby and Craig were or are both god-awful Bonds.

Brosnan and Connery were, simply put, everything a perfect James Bond should be. Sophisticated, suave, a sharp and quick wit, some truly awful puns played totally straight-faced, at ease with gunplay and gadgets, never loosing their cool, always ready to drop everything and seduce as many dangerous women as possible. They were perfect.

Those factors are also, to me, why the latest set of Bond films are some of the worst films in the series. I mean, aside from being two (maybe three, but one can always hold out hope) generic action films that subscribe to so many conventions of modern action that they come out saturated in mediocrity, but they're helmed by a brooding, pouty miserably bastard with no charm, no wit, no sophistication, no positive personality traits, no energy, no life and, as a result, no business playing Bond.

Your poll needs more George Lazenby. Yes, I know he was only in one but he counts dammit!

For me, Timothy Dalton is the best by far, and always terribly overlooked. In a way, he's the only one I've ever actually 'believed' as Bond. He nails the whole idea of a man who can be laying on the charm across the Roulette table one minute, then snapping a guy's neck the next. He's suave and sophisticated, but look in to his eyes and you see the coldness of a man who kills utterly without remorse. None of the others quite managed that (although Craig and Connery come close), swinging too far either to the camp side, or the callous side.

My personal favourite is Craig. I just like the direction that Bond took with Casino Royale, and even Quantum of Solace. The actor who I think is actually the best at portraying Bond is Connery, though.

Normally i whould say craig to piss of my friends, they hate the last two movies for many reasons, including that james bond is blond all of a sudden :p but in all honesty, i went for Sean Connery, love him as an actor in any movie, even the rock, i really think he played the "gentleman" card the best, i generally get the sleaseball feel with the other actors playing james bond.

A tie between Roger Moore and Sean Connery. Connery fits the best as Bond in my eyes, but I enjoy Roger Moores movies more due to it being a bit more humorous.
I'll vote for Connery though.

I've grown to like Dalton more recently, he is really underestimated as Bond.

Roger Moore

Bond movies have always been pretty ridiculous, and Moore always seemed fully aware of this.

Plus, he's just such a charming son of a *****.
