There is no one else I'd rather have covering my back than a Turian. they have Honour. a human might backstab you.
*cough*Saren*cough*

What? What was that? Anyway, I'd have to say... Turians definately. Just because.
Well, Saren was doing what he did to save as many as possible. it wasn't that he was evil, just misguided.
And the fact that he wasn't a human, which means he wouldn't think to just fight, even if he couldn't win.

My favourite are the Turians. And I'm somewhat surprised that I'm in the majority. I would have thought that the Krogan or the Asari would be preferred.

For the record, my close second would probably be the Asari or the Quarians. Or perhaps the Elcor.

I like Turians because they are bad ass space raptors.

And don't look like they have a hairy buttcrack for a forehead like Klingons.

While most of the Mass Effect alien races are highly original and well thought I think the Asari stand out the most. Having played Warhammer 40k alot though I couldn't help drawing similarities between the races of Mass Effect and those of 40k. The krogans are alot like orcs, the reapers like necrons, the rachni like tyranids. The Asari were for me the most original of the bunch.
What did you expect? Warhammer is awesome. If they rip 'em of wouldn't that mean Mass Effect would be awesome?
I wouldn't say that ripped WH40K off but the similarities are there. I don't mind it though.

Please how many times haven't we heard about those kinds of races or tribes or whatever before? "There is nothing new under the sun". I don't mind either. Did it sound like I did? If so I didn't mean to.

They're still awesome.

I like the ones who start every sentence by saying what tone they're using due to their incredilby boring voices. They remind me of HK-47 from Kotor and who doesn't love the sociopathic droid. Buggered if I can remember what they're called though, so I voted for Volus.
You voted correctly, that's the Volus.
Wasn't that the Elcor?
OH SHI-
Yepp you fucked up big time. Now someone will go around being unwise. Terrible shame.

Asari, I like the thought of a race of long-lived figures of wisdom. The fact that all those you meet in the game are quite intelligent, and most are fairly sensual as well, certainly doesn't hurt.

I'm gonna go with the Quarians. Turians second.

I hate the Asari. Their design is as uninspired as the average Star Trek alien and their racial background is utterly retarded.

None of them

I thought the aliens in mass effect were the weakest part of the game. There were only three that wern't walking talking bipedial life forms.

The bulbious red jellyfish looking thing

the keepers

the reavers

How did so many of the lifeforms evolve into bipedial humanoids who all have mouths that can speak english so perfectly?

Why do all the aliens speak english even when there are no humans present?

Never said he was "evil", but he does perform a quite literal backstabbing at the very beginning of the game.

True enough, I concede.
But you can't let one rotten apple spoil the greater picture, can you? :)
(Please Don't Answer Yes.) :p
