The show is made to sell the toy's. Do you not get commerce?
From Hasbro's point of view that is all it is, but Hasbro isn't the one making the show, they went to Lauren Faust and she was able to appease Hasbro's desire to have an MLP show while at the same time giving the show some love and not making it a just a 30 minute commercial like previous incarnations of the show have been.
You typed this read it again: "but Hasbro isn't the one making the show, they went to Lauren Faust and she was able to appease Hasbro"
And I also typed "while at the same time giving the show some love and not making it just a 30 minute commercial like previous incarnations of the show have been."
Nice work taking half my post out of context to try and prove an argument.
Take a look at my first post again. You see what I did there? I cut out your tangential comment about missing characters, I didn't cut out half of your argument. You should try to learn how to do that.
It is their product they pay her to make the show for them. Do you understand this?
Almost get the feeling ponies might be making people ( not you buddy ) stupid.
The show is a 23 minute commercial just like ben 10 or any other kids show, do any of you understand how marketing works?
The older shows had ponies that were never for sale as such i.e. the boy ponies, while this new one all the ponies have toys on the market, thus making it the first MLP that has been made only to sell the new generation of figures. Thank you for your time feel free to reply to another post.
Its also the first time MLP has had an unique art style that doesn't look identical to the toy line. Its also the first time MLP has had decent writing.
The show serves its purpose of being a 23 minute commercial (it would never exist without filling that purpose) to please Habro, but at the same time the people making the show have put effort into the writing and the art that makes the show really great.
