Needles creep me out. Why? Because when I was a kid, the nurse stuck me about 7 times looking for a vein. That's not cool.

Not even on yourself? It takes some getting used to.
I could get used to it to myself, though I would much rather have a professional doing it. Very squimish about puncturing anyone else though.

Speaking of needles actually freaking me out though, adrenaline shots to the heart. First in Pulp Fiction, and then again in Firefly, which I've watched dozens of times. Still makes me think, never I!

Luckily I have big, highly visible veins. Unluckily, my mom has big arms and really skinny veins. They always have to spend at least thirty minutes just trying to find one, usually having to switch arms multiple times due to bruising.

It's not the needles that bother me, it's the slight pain that is a very small nuisance for me. But I do however not fear them at all, at least not until it hurts...

I remember off scrubs
"I know a lot of people who are afraid of needles. You're just the first who doesn't have a vagina"

I had to have several canulars in various parts of my hands/arms and several blood tests taken when I had Meningitis, so I'm pretty much OK with them now. Even had a lumbar puncture! For those of you who don't know, that's where they take fluid from the base of your spine with a giant needle :D

I had to take an allergy shot every Wednesday for about 19 weeks in a row. The other time, I had blood samples taken 7 times in a month. I don't fear of them, I just detest them.

My sister, however, faints when she sees blood or when someone has to take her blood for analysis.

I REALLY LOVE NEEDLES!

Srsly, I used to be so excited everytime we had injections in school! And I love having blood taken too, it feels so awesome!

I think if I was a heroin addict, it'd be addiction to actually physically putting the needle in as well as the heroin XD

Same, I have 3 highly visible ones on the inside of each arm and 2 decent ones on each hand. Nurses love me.

Try 3 times a week for 14 years. A lot of people are shocked when I reveal that.

I don't like them much, it's not that they hurt, it's just the feeling of cold metal sinking into your flesh....brrr.

Needles are one of the few things that actually do scare me.

I know it isn't a big deal and shouldn't be frightening to me but when you're in the presence of something sharp, all rational thought goes out the window and your immediate thought is 'fuck this shit! I'm getting out of here!'.

I had to do a lot of blood tests when I was still trying to get a diagnosis.
It seems I have the veins of a small child, because it always took several tries to actually draw blood.
Only once did they think to use the back of my hand instead.

No, I am not afraid of needles.
I do, however, regularily battle the temptation to buy a helicopter and go around bending any I see.

I can't stand needles, to the extent that I have actually skipped half of my inoculations just to avoid having the jab.

The first injection I remember having was at the dentists (actually, it was two injections); they were numbing my gum so they could pull a tooth. Unfortunately, because of the abcess in my gum, not only did the anaesthetic NOT work at all, but the actual entry of the needle itself was the most excruciating agony I have ever (ever) experienced.

The next injection I had was my meningitis vaccination. I had a panic attack going in to have it done, and then spent then next 18 hours with a raging fever and all the symptoms of meningitis. Not fun.

I've got no fear. Except when it comes to snakes, spiders, heights, etc.

As far as needles go I don't mind them, though I hate the feeling you get (in your arm) after giving blood.

first of all --> I know my english grammar is horrible.

I'm a part of clinical trial where they have to take muscle biopsies from my thigh. They have taken 2 and I have 4 more to look forward to in the next two months. And the muscle biopsy doesn't bother me much. They are just an horrible inconvenience.
For those who doesn't know how a muscle biopsy goes. The docter make a cut in your leg, about 0,5 cm long. Then he puts a needle (approx. the same size as the cut) forces the needle through the fatty tissue and into the muscle where they take a round scalpel and punches the musclesample free and sucks it up the needle. And for every biopsy they need 3 samples.

So regular sized needle doesn't bother me at all.
