Poll: Female babysitter charged for having sex with 14-year old boy.

Conn law says that since he is under 16 and she is more than 2 yrs older, she has to go to jail for what i believe is at least nine months. it could be minimum of five too. I say give her the least and therapy. in our society it isn't psychologically normal for her to want to have sex with a 14yr old, so they need to figure out what is causing that. My guess is insecurity or what i like to lolita syndrome.

Ok, so it's wrong that they're together being that he's only 14 but if they are in a consenting relationship then I don't think she should go to jail. If she got him drunk and had sex with him then of course she should. (which is how I read it at first)

Absolutely I would, and so would every male in this post, and possibly the females too for an older guy. When it comes down to it however the law is in place for a reason. I dont know your age, and that would affect your decision in this matter likely, but if it was a 14 year old female(or male) and a 20 year old male, he fed her alcohol and had his way with her, despite whether or not she had a crush on him etc, would you feel he should be punished? The law does not specify "well did they like it?" because the law cannot answer that question, and everybody lies.

I really don't mind the double standard much...but I still think something should be done about the laws regarding theses matters. (In the US at least)

At 14 I think everyone male and female wants sex or at least thinks about the opposite(attracted) gender frequently and wants come sort of sexual connection.

A 14 year old is NOT FUCKING INNOCENT! Boy or girl, they know they want sex. If they meet an attractive member of the opposite sex, they will want their dick/vagina. The thing is, if he would get an std this way, he would be in a lot of trouble. If he would get that girl pregnant he would be in a lot of trouble.... We cannot grant kids "what they want" because they want it.... Doing so is immature. Everything has consequences, and while im not saying that an adult is able to see all of them... An adult is mature enough to suffer them. Something a 14 years old KID is not.

Sex with a minor is always statutory rape. Under the law, a minor can never consent. So even if she didn't intoxicate the kid, it would still be a crime.
So yes, I'd say jail time.

Yes, this is why my friends girlfriend (both 14) enjoys being (for want of a better word) fingered while my male friend isn't particularly excited about the prospect of having sex. /sarcasm, sort of.

You can't just generalize like that, everyone is different, some boys are horny, some girls are horny.

This comes from your extensive relationships with females? Is that why this 20 year old slept with the 14 year old? because she envisioned a long-lasting romance him? Women are very sexual, they just have different motivators, doesn't mean they know any more or less what they want.
