ok first of all "smoking is bad for me" seccond of all.. dont just say that... speak about personal experience... have you ever tried smoking?? or have you just had too much propoganda shoved down your throught.

i dont think that's really fair.. i mean, i see where you're coming from but still you cant be pissed at people for smoking outside their homes... even if it does do some damage to you.. i mean outside you can just walk away... and in places like taxi ranks or bus shelters there is usually no smoking... so really you probably wont be in a situation where you are FORCED to stand next to a smoker..

No, it's perfectly fair - if you want to smoke, you either use a designated smoking room (a location where the proprietor has specifically intended for smokers to light up) or you smoke in your own home. In public, you shall not infringe on another by your actions.

And, while completely fair, I'll be the first to admit it's not exceptionally practical. But that doesn't alter in any way its rightness.

funny how some people say 'i don't smoke, it's bad for me! But i do smoke weed' or some other variation on that. Aaanyway, I used to smoke in high school because it was 'cool' but no, it just tastes like ass most of the time. I smoke weed, but only if it's offered and good (had some jamaican from amsterdamn last week, well tasty!). I also enjoy the odd cuban but they are fairly expensive and nothing beats a single malt scotch (18 year old Glenfiddich is AMAZING). Combining the two is just classyness.

I'm looking into pipe smoking, anyone a pipe smoker?

I have Black Label on my desk, Hoegaarden in my fridge, and my friends and I are going to Prague in a few weeks to pick up some of that delightful Absinthe.

I like Black Label, but I want to try some new Scotch, perhaps a single malt. Anyone have any suggestions?

I just realized that I have nothing to do in this thread. I don't smoke, and I only drink alcoholic beverages to get drunk,

you do have stuff to do... you can rant on about how u hate smokers... or how u first dabbled in weed.. or something..

There is no reason to hate smokers ... provided they smoke in their own homes or with the permission of those (all those in public) around them.

Until people ask my permission to be obnoxious idiots in my presence whilst in public, I feel no compulsion to give them any such consideration--stupidity should carry a surgeons general warning itself.

If you're breathing the air in any major city in the world, you've got bigger problems to your health than cigarette smoke.

Public is public. If the unwashed masses are free to piss me off in the myriad ways they tend to do, I damn well am going to at least have a cigarette. Unless you're in a confined room with someone who's smoking or sitting directly next to them, downwind, while outside, it shouldn't bother you at all. And if it does? The feeling is probably mutual.
