I've played 7,8,10,10-2,11,and 12, never finished a single one (I know you can't "finish" 11, but I never even got lvl 30, so yeah)

Data got erased on V before I got past the 3/4ths mark
Playing VI off and on
Beat VII
Nearly beat VIII before someone erased my card
got 3 hours in IX I hated it and quit
Got half way through X, hated and quit.

Beat Tactics back, forth left right and up and down. Next time I try with my eyes closed.

Well I actually really enjoyed VI. Much more so than VII or some others. It's just circumstances, I guess. I think I got a little more than 50% but can't tell because it's hard to approximate length. I thought the narrative kind of lost steam after the Terra Esper bit, I went into the factory but stopped after that I think. I don't have my saves anymore so restarting isn't really an option.
Oh wow... that's more like... 30% into the game. If you quit after the Magitek factory then you haven't really even scratched the surface of that game. I can honestly say if you had enjoyment up to that point, you really missed out as the game got infinitely better.

I've finished 7, 10 and 10-2. Stopped playing half way through 9. Then I started playing 12 and when I got bored of dying on the inside stopped playing.

Completed FF1. Could 100% it easily but that's the problem, it's too easy.

Almost completed FF13 too, i'm hoping to 100% it but i doubt i will.

Hahah, oh well. Yeah it's hard to approximate length. I do remember spending some quality hours into the game, hard to imagine that only being 30%. This game must be huge.

I loved the beginning. Everything about it. The characters, the simple kingdom gets conquered story and seeing that castle lift out of the sand...man. Pure entertainment. Played it as a coop experience, I did the crazy input combos as the karate guy while the other was the thief. Worked really well.

Then you got to the part with the airship and it all kind of disintegrated. You traveled, but I don't know. It's like that with every FF game for me, they just sort of loose steam. Well FFXIII didn't even pick up steam but anyway.

How could you stop 50% into Final Fantasy VI... that's amazing.
Hah I stopped someway into FFVI as well. When
Kefka destroyed the world. I fed two fish to Cid and nothing happened. I walked arround a bit and found nothing to do, so I quit. Picked it up quite a bit later, fed him another fish and whoop he died.

Played it to the end after that. FFVI has gone on to be one of my favourite games.

Oh yes I found out later. Same thing with
Shadow. Both made me a bit sad back then.
I had no idea back then.

I beat the originals - 1, 2, 3 and I've beat Chrystal Chronicles. I've not beat (but mostly) 7, and I'm right now somewhere in the middle of 13 but getting distracted with other games. I think I'll beat it tho... eventually. I haven't really played any of the other FF games.

The game WAS huge... for sure.

If you can, go back through it with a walkthrough. If you're not a fan of the mechanics of the old games, it can become disorienting when the path isn't really laid out for you and you have free run of the world.

Sheesh, I'm rather stunned that you didn't finished most of them. I can't stop laughing at the idea!

Note* Ok, that was bad, but I haven't seen you in a while.

I remember finishing 4 at 100%. 5 at 90%. Never finished 6 by myself. 7,8,9 varies between 95 to 70.

2nd note* I skipped some sidequests. I completed all the main stories.
Well hello there, friend. I see you have some pretty weird ideas about me, but don´t worry, because I have this to tell you: Everything you know is wrong. Have a pleasant day!

I've finished two of them, and I'm working on finishing the rest (except XII and XIII).

I would have finished my FFs (I,II,III,IV,VI,IX,X,XII),

BUT!

My I & II Dawn of Souls mysteriously vanished,

I lent III to my friend and he never gave it back,

VI had its data corrupted,

My chances of completing IX died along with my playstation,

X's disk was severely scratched and froze right before you enter Sin every time,

and I just gave up on XII, because my characters were hideously underleveled and I kept getting lost.

I will break the cycle with XIII, damnit!

Interesting poll. Personally, I have a bad habit with completing games. If it's captivating enough, I'll see it through to the end but I've lost interest with quite a few. Final Fantasy generally tends to keep me hooked, bar a few of them.

The first two I didn't like much due to the lack of any real characterisation. The same goes for the third one until they remade it. The slight sprinkle of characterisation they gave to the characters gave me enough interest to get through the game. IV and VI were very good, in my opinion, so I had no problems there. VIII was the first I ever played and hence my favourite (I'm not sure why, just nostalgia probably) and I've beaten that many times. IX I completed although I wasn't a huge fan of it. As for X and XII, well I only obtained a PS2 in recent years so I'm working on those in between other games. I haven't even had the chance to play XIII (except for the demo) but I have a copy waiting at my partner's house so it will be played!

I don't really count XI in with the others (although I have played it) since you can never really complete an MMO. :p

I haven't finished a single one yet.
I WIL DEFINATELY finish XIII this week, and IV sometime during summer vacation. I'm saving Tactics A2 for vacation too, I mean: Italian sun + DS = plain awesome.

Finished all the mains, finished Tactics A2 Grimoire of the rift, finished dirge of cerberus, EZ Ehrgeiz. The only ones I haven't finished are 13 (which I am playing now), the original tactics (never got round to it), the chocobo ones and the crystal chronicle games, dissidia and crisis core (don't own a PSP).
