Already bought Brink. On the P.C., and Xbox 360. The A.I. opponents become insanely powerful at high levels in single player mode. Also, your A.I. partners are morons. Otherwise, it is very good. On the console however....well, with a mouse and keyboard, you have both speed and precision. With a controller, you have one or the other. For the console, Brink decided to go with speed. The end result? On the Xbox 360, I often can't hit anything unless I am spraying fire with a fully automatic weapon with a huge ammo clip. The revolver isn't very good on Xbox 360, though it is awesome on the P.C.
I reccomend the P.C. It works well on Steam, which is awesome for me, as many games on Steam don't sync well with my video card, and I am often forced to reboot my comp multiple times before they work.
That said, I am definetly buying F.3.A.R. I love singleplayer First Person Shooters. Games that put a lot of effort into the singleplayer and storytelling interest me.
