I have no idea. I think I had 1000 views or so. And the 50 replies thing. So I guess that makes my room full of mahogany books or something.

My first thread made it three pages I believe. Not a huge success, but not a failure, at least, I don't think it was. :p
None of mine ever break four pages, even if I post an article on sex-bots...
I've had one make it to four pages, one make it to three pages and two not even get to two pages.

I don't remember my first thread. But I think it was "How would you make time pass in an empty room?".

It went really well, I thought.

3 pages, over 100 replies and it got to the "Hot threads" section.

It made me proud.

EDIT: I was wrong, my first thread was "What did you dream about last night?" It failed and I have no idea why. I thought that would be a thread with interesting replies that anyone can comment on.

My first thread as an epic fail. I did not feel like a noob because it failed, one person did post in it. In fact not even sure why it failed. Either way I got one post in it and no one else posted.
I would link to the thread but then people would yell at me for trying to raise a dead thread o_o

I just hunted down my first thread. It had zero posts! :'(
D'awww... what was it about?

Mine was, I believe, about Watchmen (the movie), and why it seemed to have attracted so much hate. It went OK, it got to 2 or 3 pages, coincidentally making it my best thread yet in terms of posts... Although I've only made 3 or 4 threads here ever...
It's actually kinda embarrassing. It was about the dumbest ships (when fans take two characters and decide they should have a relationship) in gaming. It also had a link to the TvTropes page on shipping, which is most likely one of the reasons nobody posted, they were on TvTropes.
Yeah, TVTropes links are bad... I get lost for hours there. My escape route? Turn off the power to my laptop when I enter. When it then automatically goes to sleep in a couple of hours because of battery, I stop. Because I have to. It's the only way.

Have only made one thread, it was decent. Got some good response on it. Will make another if I think of a subject.

It went fairly as far as I can remember. But I want my posts to be a bit different (as far as I know that is) because topics like: best movie, best game, best gamesong or whatever are done over and over again or just make a topic about worst whatever... and you will probably get a lots of pages. I try to make something creative in a topic and tough it doesn't generate as much respons as the above named, I will have only 3 pages of post to read about what I really find interesting. It's not the quantity that counts for me.

Mine never made it to page two. I think my problem was that it didn't have a poll, I've tried adding a poll to my second thread. It can be found here:
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.206572-Poll-Christian-Legal-Society-vs-Martinez-Your-Reaction

I feel pretty good about the substance of my threads, they just don't seem to catch on. Perhaps shameless plugging will help.

My first thread was asking for peoples stupid reasons their significant others broke up with them. It went 5-6 pages. I would say that went very well.

What was your first thread posted (if posted), and what did you learn?

Mine was about agreeing on Yahtzee's view on games. *facepalm* I learned my lesson and I feel a little less noobish.
My first thread was about if the Escapists had a girlfriend. And I can only say one thing:
TOTAL SUCCESS!!!!!
It earned me 5 badges, but I never managed to create another thread with that type of success.
EDIT: The two middle badges that you see to the left are some of the ones.

I had an idea for a thread once, around the time of the whole Activision debacle with Bobby Kotick and his 'subscription fee' insanity. I used a search bar and no one apparently had the same idea before, but I decided not to take the chance. That and I was extremely tired so I just wanted to get to bed.

Mine was about 'The Strongest Alcohol You've Tried'. Hit 7 pages I seem to remember which I was chuffed about.

My first thread was about what people thought about Christmas. It wasn't a failure but I sort of learned that you have to be very original and be very lucky of your thead is going to make it somewhere...

BTW, not to be an asshole or nothin' but I give this thread a chance of 3... maybe 4 pages before dying. If it does, you shouldn't feel too bad. It's a success if you got over 100 replies. ^^ (and 3/4 pages is just about that)
