I can easily follow your view on the "Hate football love WC"-people though. I agree. "Bandwagoneering posers".
What is it with this self-righteous attitude? I live in Canada. I can't afford to pay $10/month for a soccer channel that only shows games from England at 4 am. This is like arguing that if you don't watch winter sports, you're not allowed to enjoy the Olympics. Honestly, just let people have their fun. Be glad your home team is getting more support.

Yaaaaaaaawn, completely boooring, even romance series aren't as boooring.
Playing it can help get beefier but watching is useless, only "benefit" one could gain is something to talk about with their average, brain-dead, boring friends.

*Yaaawns some more*

I'm only watching to support my country for the World cup, they've been thrown in the deep end and need as well as, for once, deserve the support.

It's an Okay game.

But you must still support your country for a big event like this.

We are talking about whether or not people like football. I really love people supporting their nations when watching the WC, even if they watch it just to support their nation ~~ Come to think of it, I might very well have misunderstood what I was writing entirely. I'm not quite sure where I was going with that.

Regardless of anything, not being able to watch(not paying for the channel) just means you don't care enough, or haven't looked up a site like http://myp2p.eu which grants access to several sporting events.

I really don't get the point of watching it on television and even canceling Scrubs while this darn cup is going on. Soccer is kinda cool to play though.

Well done you don't like it...was this really worthy of a thread?
"i was wondering what the ratio was"

Someone didn't read the OP.

Personally, I think it could be improved with the introduction of tigers/dinosaurs/dragons/engines. Currently it's a little dull in my opinion. Or even sticks, so then it would be similar to hockey, which is much faster paced and interest me more.

For me F1 takes priority over football.
YES!!! Another F1 fan here! Woo!
Seriously though, I haven't seen enough of you, guys, here.
Out of curiosity, who do you root for?
RaktheUndead is also an F1 fan, I was thinking of doing a thread the other day then realised, "it'll bomb like all my other threads"

Being French I'm a life long fan of Renault participation, although they used to come and go as they pleased, stupid indecisive Frogs deciding to leave whenever it suited them.

And I was ashamed of the old Team Principal Flavio Briatore being the head of Renault, oh and the stupid livery thats been on the car for the last few years, the ING livery from last year actually made me feel queasy.

But now, its a superb team with a gorgeous car.

Looks like Bumblebee if he was a sports car.
F1 cars all seem to look rather sexier this year. I mean, the Red Bull car is a real thing of beauty. A few years ago hey looked like someone lost the instructions to an Airfix kit, but they introduced aerodynamics rules. Excuse me for a moment...
OMG OMG LOTUS!!! Who cares if they're crap? they're fucking Lotus.

I'll watch if I'm bored, or I'm knitting or something. I follow it, but not too closely.

American Football, on the other hand, I couldn't care less about.

I enjoy playing the game but the professional players are all over payed wusses who cry when they suffer any injury worse than a papercut. Also i don't particuarly enjoy watching it.

I went to my mates house to see an F1 race, and since my friends supported the first 3 or 4 on the grid at the last race of last season, I now support barrichello XD

OT: Footie is cool, i like playing it (badly) and watching, if only for all the comments and the likes after the match with my mates.

It's okay, just a bit of fun for me as an excuse to go out with mates, whether or not I actually care. I'm in England and sort of wanted USA to win because that'd be really funny... But yeah I'm just sort of meh towards it.

I'm American. I'm not supposed to, and I don't, care about Football. Either kind.
