I have been told at times I am nicer to people online than I am in person. I am cursed with being brutally honest, so at least when I am writing how I feel I can often reread and edit it to not sound as bad as it did the first time it came out, something I cannot do in person because once it is said you can't really hit rewind.
I am not concerned with what I say to others online, my only concern would be my ex that I put in jail finding me to try to kill me again, and stalkers being able to have my address. It isn't like you can go park next to a police car to prevent them from following you home when your address is made public online, so that would be a problem for many women online I would think.
I definitely think having addresses made public like that would keep many women away from the internet because it would be worse than trying to leave a bar, it isn't really safe to do so.
