I think the game should have ended with John dying, and Jack's revenge could be either in a different game or nonexistent. But yeah John is so much better.
Well yeah, I think they're going the GTA route for this, a different story for each game with different characters...and this technically is the 2nd game in the series. They really didn't leave it open for a RDR2 did they?

As John, I could not be a bandito because it did not feel right - that part of John's past was behind him. However, Jack has the motivation to murder innocents; it's just up to the player to decide what they wish to do.
He's only 19...what did you want him to sound like?Jumplion said:John for obvious reasons, but I do like Jack. I really do feel sorry for him, he started out as a literate, reasonably smart person, understandably cynical with his father after leaving him for a time, and he wants to grow up to be a writer to prove that he's not just some whore's son.
But then his father gets gunned down by the army, and the player takes control of him from then on. He's given up on that dream to have the life of a gunslinger.
Like father, like son.
It really made me feel sorry for him, though his voice should have aged appropriately.
I'm 15 and I have a voice deeper than the ocean. Maybe a little more deep and it would make a bit more sense, as is it sounds a bit too high pitched. After all, people tend to get out of puberty at around 16-19 if I know my biology correctly (which most likely I don't).Nfritzappa said:He's only 19...what did you want him to sound like?Jumplion said:John for obvious reasons, but I do like Jack. The voice is incredibly annoying, especially when Jack is yelling at his horse to go faster.Kazicun said:John Marston is way better than his son. Apparently Jack did not grow out of the high pitched voice that he had when he was 15. Plus John looks so much cooler in a duster.
