There was a thread for this a while back but it didn't have the trailer and I believe it's worth checking out.

Yeah, that's gonna be my morning coffee for a while.

I gotta say I really enjoyed the first game. I will not deny its faults but none of them were particularly significant or glaring enough to keep me away from the game. Whatever criticisms, it was an absolute blast to play. I still fire it up whenever I feel like tossing some troopers around. Honestly, the hope that the sequel will fix the first game's issues while maintaining everything that was excellent and maybe adding a bit more is going to keep me awake at night. Marek is officially my #1 sith/jedi for making Star Wars awesome again. I whole heartedly approve of this sequel. How about you?

Force Unleashed? Jedi Knight? Meh.

Where's the love for a Republic Commando sequel? If there ever was a Star Wars game that screams "need a sequel here!" and deserves it more than most other games, Star Wars or otherwise, it was Republic Commando.

I would have prefered KotOR 3, that way the continuity of the movies isn't ruined (anymore than the 'prequal trilogy' anyway). As a stand alone dealy though I kind of liked FU, sure the story wasn't exactly amazing, and continuity took a backseat for some nice shiny lightsaber, force throwing action. I'm the kinda of guy who loves dual lightsabers...so it might just be that that has me excited about the sequal.

Huh. That was... unexpected.

Somehow I just didn't see this one coming, but I'll still gladly play when it comes out.

Some games Are Enjoyable the First Time, and some Leave room for Sequels, i respected alot of the Stuff the first game did, even if i dident Enjoy it, but i really dont think this will work, and is gonna Screw up anything good the first game did

Well first one was... decent, very disappointing but decent.

Besides second time's the charm, and as long as they do some overhauling and ALOT less hype it'll work out.

I think it would be better if they learned from the past and made it a spiritual Jedi Knight prequel. Besides that potential... there isnt much interesting to me for it.

Especially when the hype for that trailer was "THE NEXT STEP FROM LUCASARTS" and its like... wow... a sequel... to an average game that could have been amazing... not too thrilled

I'm happy with this decision. I wanted Imperial Commando, or TIE Fighter: 181st, but I'll settle for TFU2. If they can keep the same story quality and improve the gameplay, it could turn out to be an excellent game.

It didn't seem to be a particularly sequel worthy game to me.

What we I really need is a new Jedi Knight game.

NOW.
Cant argue with a new Jedi Knight game one bit!

Force Unleashed was a letdown. It had good ideas, and they built some good systems in the game, but the overall experience did not meet expectations, let alone hopes.

If they're able to take the systems from the first game, refine the controls a bit, and lay a good game down on top of it all for the sequel, it could be really good. We'll see.

I don't know, the only thing TFU had going for it was the physics engine. They could have applied it to another game instead. The Apprentice was bland as the freaking netherworld of the force, and the story as a whole was just boring. I'm more disappointed with the fact that it's a direct sequel rather than just a spiritual one or a sequel with a new protagonist.

Even so, there are plenty of other Star Wars games (or potential game concepts) that I would much rather have seen...

Why are they bothering with this they didn't even leave an open ending, all i want is Battlefront 3.

Looked on Wikipedia, the source of all knowledge. It says the player will

play as Starkiller

But how is that possible, seeing as

Starkiller died at the end of the canon ending

Don't get me worn, I am looking forward to this, I'm just a little confused.

well in the first game he got sabered in the chest then sucked into space and was fine so i think he'll be alright after a lightning burst.

The first had alot going for it and could have been good especially with the technology behind it but it just was bland, it really didn't convey very well that you were this massively powerful Sith. I don't have high hopes for the second one to be honest.
