Don't get me worn, I am looking forward to this, I'm just a little confused.

The first I even heard of the sequel was in the trailer and since he was obviously alive in it I don't see the point of questioning it. They never really explained how Vader "rebuilt" him after he was betrayed in the first one so I'm thinking he's got something more than flesh-and-blood going on in that body. Maybe already he's dead since then.

Pretty much what I was thinking , unless they're doing a "nuStar Trek" style new timeline thing and using the "bad" ending as a start off point .

Meh. Still waiting for news on the promised PC release of the first one. Still, can't say I'm too bothered. Would much prefer another Jedi Knight or KOTOR as other have said.

I'm completely lukewarm about the idea of a sequel, mostly since the best part of the first game was the well done story which wrapped up pretty darn completely at the end of the game. I suppose they could start doing some serious Alternate Universe stuff with a full on sequel, which would be awesome I suppose.

I am not sure. I am excited about this becuase the prmise fo the first game was really good, bu the game was broken by glitches and gameply problems. Perhaps the sequal will be like AC2 where they do what the first game intended and was hyped for. I( think FU 1 was a victim of its hown hype also in a way. There is no way the game was ever going to be as cool as what theybuilt it up to be.

as a side note to the preview what the heck was that monkey thing that chucked a rancor monster like it was nothing. Has it appeared in the series before this game.

I'm not surprised that they threw out the canon ending. Star Wars canon is so convoluted I'm to the point were I'll just play a game to play a game and ignore the cutscenes.

I'm noticing a trend though. Take a cool weapon IE wrist blade, lightsaber or any halo weapon. Add dual wielding. Make a sequel. Show dual wielding predominantly in the trailer.

Force Unleashed? Jedi Knight? Meh.

Where's the love for a Republic Commando sequel? If there ever was a Star Wars game that screams "need a sequel here!" and deserves it more than most other games, Star Wars or otherwise, it was Republic Commando.

Agreed, that or a new KOTOR game (aside from the MMO). Although Forced Unleashed was a great game, IMO a sequel feels like Lucas sucking for one last drop off the Kratos cash cow.

Well I'm certainly a Force Unleashed veteran. Played all versions, loved the PS2 & 360 ones the best. But I honestly didn't see, or even think of hope for a sequel, neither ending made one make much sense. But I know for a fact I'll be buying it as long as they kept what I loved about it alive and George Lucas keeps his grubby paws off this one.

Yahtzee was right, the second half of the game went completely to crap when the story tried to be part of the big boys club and tie together the two trilogies.

A sequel standing apart from all that would be a welcome breath of fresh air.

Off-Topic: Did anyone else catch that link for the Arkham Asylum 2 trailer right at the end? Looks like an obvious cash-in, but I'm damned interested in seeing more.

'Deserve' a sequel?

The original was fairly enjoyable, and if they bother to listen to what fans/critics have said (which LA never EVER do. EVER.) then it should be pretty good.

Can't say I was expecting one though, after the (canon) ending.

Hell yeah. I loved the first one, played it to bits.

And I laughed on how I thought the game's story was a better one, and better acting, than the 'prequels'

If Lucasarts could get their act together and listen to the FANS for once, they'd know that people crave for a new KOTOR or a new Battlefront. Why can't these games be developped instead of a game that wasn't a complete success?

Back to the subject, The Force Unleashed was a good game. Anything I can play till the end has enough in it to keep me going. It had some great features and tried something different IE: Focusing on the force powers instead of lighsaber fights. I think it deserves a sequel if the abomination that is Super Mario gets about 50.

What I'd LIKE instead of more force gubbins, is new X-Wing vs TIE Fighter games, preferably on the PC (even though Lucas Arts seem to hate that platform now) , as you got a decent class of deathmatch (furball) there, I'm guessing the 360/ps3 one would feature 12 year olds teabagging you with a TIE bomber.
